Weiyuan Fort: Visitors can gain an up-close understanding of history and experience the place where the Chinese people fought bravely. Free Admission: Make a free reservation through the official WeChat account "Opium War Museum." Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday 8:30-17:30 (Winter vacation: 8:00-17:30, Summer vacation: 8:30-18:00, Public holidays: 8:00-17:30). Reservations and entry close at 17:00, except during summer vacation when they close at 17:30. Winter and summer vacation periods are subject to the dates announced annually by the Dongguan Municipal Education Bureau. (The Lin Zexu Memorial Hall exhibition hall is closed for maintenance every Monday, and the Naval Battle Museum exhibition building is closed every Tuesday, except for public holidays.) Exploring new cities, always one of the best things to do is search for the history of the town. I visited Humen Pearl River Bridge and Weiyuan Fort. When I arrived there, it was a wide and long river marine with a beautiful view throughout the horizon. Since entering the Weiyuan Fort, you can see many cannons there, the whole place is small. Many historical battles were here, this area was very important in geopolitics. You can enjoy in beautiful and massive more than 3 kilometers long Humen Pearl River Bridge. The view is incredible and relaxing, near the fort there is the Naval sea battle museum, where you can find even more relics and interesting information about Opium War. What mostly grab my attention was a big very cool design sculpture made by designer Zhang Xian!
