London - Sightseeing in 1hr only ✨⭐✨
#traveldiaries
The major landmarks of London! You can see all of them within an hour if you plan well. Unless you decide to spend more time around each place 😉 like for example extra time to take photos (guilty! I always take forever when I am taking photos), or if you decide to grab a ticket and inevitably you'll spend more time.
💜 London Eye - Get off station Waterloo, but don't be alarmed as that station is massive and has multiple exists. If you follow the signs for London Eye, you can't miss them, you'll get out of the correct exit. The walk towards the attraction should not be longer than 10 minutes although if it is crowded, and usually it is during peak times it might take you a bit longer. Make sure if you wanna go on the ride, it will be cheaper if you buy your tickets in advance.
💜 Big Ben - The famous clock in London. Good news, after six years of the clock being under restoration, it is finally opened to the public since 2023. It takes only ten minutes walk from London Eye, cannot miss the clock!
💜 Westminster's Abbey - Five minutes away from Big Ben. Myself personally have not been inside and I regret not going in whilst I had the chance. Therefore, do not make the same mistake. If you feel like you wanna visit something and see it, you should!
If you don't stop for pictures and don't enter the landmarks, actually you'll be done in less than an hour. But where is the fun in that?

Secret monument in Waterloo station that you shouldn’t miss.
#traveldiaries The National Windrush Monument at Waterloo Station is a special tribute to the Windrush Generation, honoring those Caribbean men and women who arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1971 to help rebuild the country after World War II. It’s located at Waterloo, the arrival point for many of them, making the spot historically meaningful. The statue represents the resilience, strength, and contribution of these pioneers to British society, despite facing significant challenges. It celebrates their culture and the lasting impact they've had on the UK, especially in terms of diversity and enriching British life. The monument is a symbol of respect and recognition for the Windrush Generation’s sacrifices and achievements.

Waterloo Station
#2024wish
In 2023, I visited Waterloo Station, London, a bustling hub steeped in history. The iconic clock and Victorian architecture echoed with the hum of commuters. Navigating through the vibrant crowd, I marveled at the diverse shops and eateries. The station's energy encapsulated London's pulse. From the trains departing to the iconic red buses outside, every element resonated with a timeless charm. As I departed, I couldn't help but appreciate the blend of tradition and modernity. In 2024, I want to visit Canada, eager to explore its vast landscapes and vibrant culture. #WaterlooStation #LondonAdventures #TravelMemories #CanadaDreams 🚂🇬🇧🌍
