Wat Thawararam Hat Yai
Thawararam Hat Yai is located on Supasarnrangsan Road, Soi 1, Hat Yai, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110, Thailand. It is near Wat Chu Chang. It is a place for Chinese religious ceremonies. It is a place of worship for Thai-Chinese, Muslim, Vietnamese, etc. Inside Wat Thawararam, there is a very large Chinese-style pagoda. It is so high that I did not even count how many floors it was. It was raining and I had limited time. Nearby is a large Buddha statue in a sitting position holding a staff of some kind. This large Buddha statue is probably the Chinese Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha. In Chinese, it is called Ti Chang Wong Pu Sak. In the Annam sect, it is called Phra Malai Thera Chao. In Vietnamese, it is called Dia Tang Yueng Botak, which is an arhat who has passed away for 300 years.
