The temple was absolutely beautiful. There were many sites within the temple to visit such as Naga yard, heavenly garden, candles shrine. I went there at 4pm, the weather was perfect. Stunning scenery from the top!
Wat Tham Pha Dan is obviously a sacred religious place which is located on the top of the mountain in Sakon Nakorn province in North Eastern District of Thailand. The temple is surrounded with stunning bird-eye-views from the top. The areas are mostly covered by trees so there will be many spots where you can enjoy the breath-taking scenery from mountaintop. For those who are into Buddhist Naka Mythology, this is the place you must pay a visit when you get a chance to Sakon Nakorn. You will also find a golden pagoda standing on a top of a carved lying buddha image. The replica of Buddha's footprint is found up there too.
Personal vehicle is not allowed, however, mini truck service from the foothill is available with 20 Bath fee per person.

escapade
Trying out of town escapade and have visited Sakon Nakhon in Northern Thailand. Wat Tham Phae Dan is offering at its best view of the city of Sakon Nakhon with a cozy coffee shop and a little bit of adventure in trailing the tree houses. It is a bit far from the city and so I am recommending visitors to hire a local transpo, the songtew, to reach the mountain and enjoy the cool breeze of Isan 😍😍😍
