Wat Thakarong
#summerdream
It is an old temple since the Ayutthaya period, located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River on the west side of the island of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.
Wat Tha Karong is located in Ban Tha. It is one of the temples that tourists like to visit to worship the sacred Buddha image named "Phra Phutta Ratnamongkol" or "Luang Pho Yim". The temple has decorated the temple area beautifully with flowers and ornamental plants in an orderly manner. There are also bathrooms that are so beautifully decorated that they won the award for the best toilet of the year in the country in 2006 in the temple and religious building category.
There is also Wat Tha Karong Floating Market, which is located behind Wat Tha Karong, which is a floating market. The products sold in the market are various types of food, such as boat noodles, fried rice, snacks such as rolled noodles, herbal som tam, fried chicken with sticky rice, grilled meatballs, palm cakes, ice cream, and beverage shops such as coffee and iced tea served in bamboo tubes, which look unique and refreshing. The food here is also inexpensive. Wat Tha Karong Floating Market is open every Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays.
