Visit Wat Takhian Floating Market
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
For those looking for places to visit in Nonthaburi, we have another option to review. This is Wat Takhian Floating Market, near Khlong Khu Wiang, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province.
This floating market is located in Wat Takhian. It is a small market and there are a lot of people on Saturdays and Sundays. The atmosphere is quite lively. Most of the shops sell vegetables, fruits, and food. Some delicious restaurants include fish cakes, coconut pancakes, Isaan sausages, satay, and sweet shrimp paste mangoes. The advantage of this place is that the prices are still reasonable and not expensive. There are many tables to sit and eat.
For those who like the retro riverside atmosphere, where grandparents row boats to sell food, we recommend you try this place.

Wat Takian, Nonthaburi
Wat Takian in Nonthaburi is a spacious temple with ample parking. Inside the temple, there is a floating market offering a variety of food options. On weekdays, there are fewer vendors, but on weekends, all shops are open. Visitors can pay respects to the main Buddha image inside the chapel and walk under the chapel while chanting mantras to ward off all dangers. The preserved body of Luang Pu Yaem is also available for worship.
The offering of Sangha Dana is organized in rounds with good management. Although the weather is hot, the temple has made efforts to provide good ventilation.
Wat Takian is over 100 years old. According to history, it was once abandoned. The former abbot, Luang Pu Yaem Piyawanno, was famous for creating the 'Dog Collar Amulet' and 'Bulletproof Tiger Amulet.' Even though he has passed away, his body remains incorrupt and is kept in a glass coffin for worship. Additionally, there are other revered images such as Phra Phuttha Kodom and Luang Pho Thanjai for visitors to pay respects to.
The temple also conducts a 'Coffin Lying Ceremony' for misfortune alleviation and a ritual of walking under the chapel from the tiger's head to the dragon's mouth to ward off evil. Each point has temple staff to provide guidance.
