#newyearnewtrip
The Wat Phan Tao is one of the oldest temples of Chiang Mai found in the walled centre of the city and it is carved from teak wood and had been previously part of the royal palace. Wan Phan Tao ceremony during Loi Krathong is a must not miss event because there will be hundreds of lanterns are displayed all around Wat Phan Tao and at night, the gardens filled with candles for a religious ceremony where the novice monks meditate in front of the Buddha statue. The ceremony usually starts at 7pm but please be there early if you wanted to get a front seat and take a nice picture as it would be crowded later. The ceremony is mesmerizing.
