A merit-making trip to pay respect and ask for blessings from Luang Pu To Phrommarangsi at Wat Rakhang
🌈🚗A trip to make merit and worship the Buddha 🙏😇Pray for blessings from Luang Pu To Phrommarangsi, Wat Rakhang.
🟠Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan
🌈😇Annie, a devout Buddhist, came to make merit and worship at an old temple from the Ayutthaya period located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Pay homage and pray for blessings from Luang Pu To Phrommarangsi and the sacred objects at Wat Rakhang.
Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan (Wat Rakhang) is located in Siriraj Subdistrict, Bang Khun Non District, Bangkok. It was originally called Wat Bang Wa Yai (or Bang Wa Yai). During the reign of King Rama IV, the name was changed to “Wat Rakhang Khositaram” in the present.
🌟You can pay homage and pray to “Luang Pu To” in two places: 🔸At the front of the area where you pray and pray and 🔸Phra Wihan Somdej Phra Phutthachan To It is the place where the statues of the three royal monks of this temple are enshrined: * Somdej Phra Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi) "Somdej To" * Somdej Phra Phutthachan (M.C. That Seriwong) "Somdej Pilan" * Somdej Phra Phutthakhosachan (M.R.W. Charoen Isarangkun)
Both places clearly display the sacred chanting of the Chinnabanchon mantra of Luang Pu To so that those who have faith in Luang Pu To can pay their respects and ask for blessings to be successful in what they intend to do.
🌟 Luang Pho Yim Rap Fa is enshrined in the ordination hall, the principal Buddha image, an important sacred object of Wat Rakhang, which is praised for its beauty. In front of the Buddha are the statues of three disciples, sitting with their hands together as if receiving a sermon from the Buddha.
✴️Inside the temple, there are important sacred objects, places and ancient sites of the temple, including:
🔸 Phra Wihan Somdej Phra Phutthacharya To (Somdej To, Somdej Pilan, Somdej Phra Phutthakhosachan)
🔸 Ubosot (Luang Pho Yim Rap Fa)
🔸 Phra Wihan (Old Ubosot)
🔸 Phra Wihan Somdej Phra Sangkharat (Sri)
🔸 Bell Tower
🔸 Tripitaka Hall (During the reign of King Rama I)
🔸 Three pagodas
🔸 Wat Rakhang Khositaram Museum (a building in honor of His Majesty the King by the river) under construction
🌟There are 2 routes to Wat Rakhang: by car and by boat. ⛴Ann chose to take a ferry from Tha Chang Pier to Wat Rakhang. It felt like a tourist, sitting and enjoying the breeze and the view along the Chao Phraya River. In the area of Wat Rakhang, there is also Wang Lang Market where we can taste delicious food and shop for many products. There are shops, coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and classic houses where we can take beautiful pictures. If your friends go there, they will be happy, full of merit, and full of stomach. 💝🎏📸
