Wat Phutthanimit Phu Khao Ban Na Si Nuan, Tambon Sahatsakhan, is located on top of Phu Khao. It houses a 2 metre long and 25 centimeters wide rock relief depicting an antique reclining Buddha image resting on his left side. The locals hold the Buddha image with high regard. Every year in April, a bathing ritual will be held to commemorate the Buddha image. Wat Phutthawat Phusing, Sahasakhan District, Kalasin Province This temple is located on a hill. There are 2 ways to get up the hill: by taking the stairs in front of the temple or by taking a songthaew that goes around the back of the temple. Whichever way you choose, it's up to you. Personally, I use a songthaew to go up, and by walking down the stairs comfortably without getting tired. On top of the temple, there is a large white Buddha statue for you to worship for good fortune. There is also a beautiful viewpoint from above where you can enjoy a panoramic view. The cool breeze makes for a relaxing and comfortable walk.
