Wat Phra Phutthabat
Wat Phra Phutthabat, a famous temple in Si Sa Ket, is a place of worship for Luang Pu Suang, the saint of Southern Isaan. Wat Phra Phutthabat was the residence of Luang Pu Suang, a revered monk of Southern Isaan, who helped those in hardship and became beloved and respected by the general public. After Luang Pu passed away in 1999, his body did not decay and was placed in a glass coffin for the public and tourists to visit and pray for blessings and good fortune. Inside the temple, there is an important site, the Luang Pu Suang pagoda, which is beautifully constructed and ranks among the top attractions in Si Sa Ket province. It houses the body of Luang Pu Suang for descendants to pay respects. There are also various rest areas for relaxation and photography, a coffee shop, souvenir shops to choose from, shuttle services to and from the parking area, spacious parking, clean restrooms, and numerous food services.
