This is my third time visiting Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan. I like the beautiful temple and the large golden pagoda. Foreigners tend to like coming here. Inside the temple, there is an old church and wax statues of the Buddha. It's very realistic. The temple is shady and the bathrooms are clean. We visited Wat Phra Singh, the most popular temple in Chiang Mai and a stone throw’s away from our hotel. This temple complex houses the city’s most important Buddha image, the Lion Buddha, it dates back to 1345, when Chiang Mai was the capital of a growing Lanna Kingdom in what is now Northern Thailand. This is inside the Wiharn Luang.This assembly hall was rebuilt in the 1920s on the site of the original structure from the 14th-century.Its interior houses a large seated Buddha image, Phra Chao Thong Tip, cast from gold and copper in the 15th century. Wat Phra Singh Temple is located in old city of Chiang Mai not far from Suan Dok Gate. For me this temple is the most beautiful in Chiang Mai. Here you really can feel some good energy. It is one of the most visited attractions and well-known for the tourists. The interesting sights in the temple are WIHAN LAI KAM, WIHAN LUANG, HO TRAI (temple library), PHRADHADLUANG CHEDI, UBOSOT (chapel). There are lots of accommodations surrounding. Every sunday evening to late night the sunday market is held in front of the temple until Tha Pae Gate.

This temple was build in 1345 and I felt it was one of the better kept temples in old town. If you look closely at the interior walls, you can still see the old artwork which every visitor should spend some time look at. Worth going. #GiveThanks

Temples aren’t my thing to be honest but since I was in Chiang Mai, temple was a must! Went here because this was one of the famous temples in Chiang Mai. You need to pay around 20 bath and for girls, don’t wear shorts/short skirts and tank tops. Because you may need to “rent” a scarf and pay extra bit of money. There were Monk wax statues inside the temples. They looked so real. At first, i thought they were real Monks. That made this temple my favorite one.

When you come to Chiang Mai, you must take your time to explore the Old City. 🌟Highlights: Take a slow walk and explore the Old City, especially the area with coffee shops, bars, massage parlors, and hotels. When you get tired, you can randomly enter a shop to eat or drink something. They are all similar. Wander aimlessly and you will come across many unexpected and lovely temples. 🚉Transportation: Take a tuk-tuk to Tha Phae Gate, the red brick ancient city wall, which is the most complete section of the wall. There are flocks of pigeons in the small square. You can buy corn to feed the pigeons or pay some baht to have someone help you take a photo of the pigeons flying away. Then enter the Old City through Tha Phae Gate. 👍Recommendations: Visit the temples as you like. I am not religious, so I didn't specifically look for famous temples like Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Suan Dok, or Wat Phra Singh. I just visited the ones I came across. I think the photos taken in this environment are all beautiful. In the Old City, there are also the Lanna Folklife Museum, the Three Kings Monument, and the Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Center, which are all worth visiting. In addition, there is a Yunda Express store not far from Tha Phae Gate, so you can send your shopping back home in advance. Further ahead is the popular Women's Prison Massage Tha Phae Gate Branch.

The air still held the moisture of morning dew, and the street stalls began to emit bursts of fragrance—coffee, sticky rice, and coconut mixed with the unique scent of Northern Thai vegetation, instantly making one feel the warmth of life. I stayed in the old city of Chiang Mai, surrounded by ancient walls with over 700 years of history. The streets of the old city are neatly arranged like a chessboard, yet hide countless alleys that make one lose their way. I casually walked into a quiet alley, with a few fallen leaves scattered on the stone road beneath my feet, and occasionally a bell chime drifted through the air, reminding me that this is a Buddhist sanctuary. In the early morning, I took a songthaew, winding up the mountain road. Outside the car window were layers of tropical greenery, with sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting golden patches. Although the travelers inside the car came from different countries, everyone shared the same anticipation. At the top of the mountain, **Wat Phra That Doi Suthep**, a historic Buddhist sanctuary, came into view. The golden stupa shone brilliantly under the sunlight, surrounded by devout believers, some holding lotus flowers, some kneeling in prayer. I walked around the stupa, the low chanting of scriptures in my ears, and a sense of peace unconsciously welled up in my heart. Standing on the platform outside the temple, I overlooked the entire city of Chiang Mai. The distant mountains, nearby villages, and the quietly flowing plains unfolded in my view. At this moment, I suddenly understood the beauty of Chiang Mai. It does not rush to show all its charm but lets you feel every corner with your heart. At night, I visited the famous **Chiang Mai Night Bazaar**. The bustling night market contrasted sharply with the daytime tranquility. Stalls were filled with colorful handicrafts, fabrics, and accessories, along with mouth-watering street food. I bought a skewer of sweet grilled bananas and a bowl of mango sticky rice cooked with coconut milk. The sweet taste made me want to take a few more bites. --- #### **Day 3: Handicraft Village and Coffee Time** Today, I decided to explore Chiang Mai's handicraft culture. Chiang Mai is renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, especially at the **Bo Sang Umbrella Village** outside the old city.
