Bang Thong Temple, Krabi Province
#VisitKrabi
Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol or known as "Wat Bang Thong" is located in Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. It is a beautiful and popular tourist attraction.
This temple is highlighted by the golden Phra Mahathat Chedi, approximately 95 meters high, which is considered the tallest pagoda in the South. The design was inspired by the Mahabodhi Buddha Gaya in India. Inside the pagoda, there are beautiful murals that tell the story of the life of the Buddha. The temple grounds are spacious and shady with various trees. There is a stone courtyard under the trees for tourists to relax. However, be prepared for the hot weather, especially during the day.
The temple is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You should prepare appropriate clothing for entering the temple. For those who are looking for a tourist attraction for those who like temples, I highly recommend it.
