Recently visited one of the temple in Hat Yai. During Chinese New Year. This temple really impressed me with the fine art of how detail of their work to craft an interior of the temple with a lot of nice photo spot. There are many foreign tourist come to this temple for photo shooting with Traditional Thai costume that even match with the Temple as a back drop. Definitely will recommend this temple. Every corner offered culinary treasures—crispy *roti* drizzled with condensed milk, fiery *tom yum* soup, and succulent grilled seafood—all at prices that felt almost too generous. Hat Yai’s compact layout was a traveler’s dream. Temples, shopping districts, and cafes nestled closely, easily navigated by foot or short rides. Even at night, the streets felt safe, lit by neon signs and the laughter of families sharing meals. I strolled past夜市 (night markets) brimming with handicrafts and street performers, absorbing the vibrant yet unhurried ambiance. What struck me most was the city’s harmony. Modern shops coexisted with old-school stalls; youthful energy blended with tradition. Public transport was refreshingly simple—no haggling or confusion, just friendly drivers eager to assist. As I left, I realized Hat Yai had offered more than a getaway—it gifted me a glimpse of Thailand’s heart. Affordable, welcoming, and effortlessly charming, it’s a place where joy lingers in street food aromas, strangers’ kindness, and the freedom to explore without a map. Hat Yai isn’t just a destination, it’s a feeling, one I’ll carry long after the journey ends.
