Wat Khao Sakae Krang的地址:
Sakae Krang Mountain, Uthai Thani City, Thailand
Sangkasrattanakiri Temple
Wat Sangkasrattanakiri 🛕🙏🏻
It is a temple for the people, located at the foot of Khao Sakae Krang, Sakae Krang Village, Village No. 3, Nam Seum Subdistrict, Mueang Uthai Thani District, Uthai Thani Province.
Sakae Krang Village was called U Thai during the Sukhothai period, meaning the residence of the Thai people. It was a frontier town during the Ayutthaya period and an important battlefield in driving out the Burmese during the Thonburi period. The U Thai city was moved to Ban Sakae Krang, which eventually became a growing community to this day.
2335 - 2342 During the reign of King Rama I, he ordered the removal of damaged small Buddha images to various provincial cities. Uthai Thani received 3 Buddha images. The first Buddha image was enshrined at Wat Khwit. It is a large Buddha image made of bronze in the Mara-Vijaya posture, 3 cubits wide at the lap. It was created during the reign of King Maha Thammaracha I by Sukhothai craftsmen of the 2nd era. The head and body of the Buddha image are separate. It is understood that it was repaired to be the same image before being brought to Uthai Thani.
Later, when Wat Khwit was merged with Wat Thung Kaew, this Buddha image was moved to Wat Sangkasattanakiri and the relics were placed in the head, along with the name Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit, which was built 214 years ago.
Inside the temple is the enshrined Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit, a sacred object revered by the people, which is the Buddha image of Uthai Thani. Because when Wat Khwit was merged with Wat Thung Kaew, the Buddha image Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit was moved to Wat Sangkasattanakiri and a ceremony was held to place the relics in the head of Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit on the 1st waning day of the 11th lunar month. 🌙🙏🏻

This winter in Uthai Thani, make merit and worship at Sangkasrattanakiri Temple.
🙏🙏 Wat Sangkasatnakiri (Wat Khao Sakae Krang) is located at the foot of Khao Sakae Krang, at the end of Tha Chang Road in Uthai Thani Municipality. It is a famous temple and is well-known among Buddhists in general for the Tak Bat Thevo tradition, which is held on the 1st waning day of the 11th lunar month of every year. It is considered an important tradition of Uthai Thani Province. On that day, more than 500 monks will walk down the 449 steps from the pavilion on the top of Khao Sakae Krang to the grounds of Wat Sangkasatnakiri below to receive alms. This is consistent with the Buddhist legend that on the day the Lord Buddha descended from the Daowadungsa heaven after staying for the Buddhist Lent to preach to his mother, on the last day of Buddhist Lent, he descended from the celestial world in Sangkasnakorn.

This is consistent with the Buddhist legend that on the day the Lord Buddha descended from the Tavatimsa heaven after staying for the Buddhist Lent to preach to his mother, he descended from the heavenly realm at Sangkasatnakhon on the last day of Buddhist Lent. Inside Wat Sangkasatnakiri, there is also the city’s sacred Buddha image, “Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Saksit,” a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, Sukhothai art style with beautiful features. It is believed to have been created during the reign of King Lithai and is approximately 600–700 years old, and was brought from Sukhothai. Originally, it was enshrined in front of the principal Buddha image in the chapel of Wat Khwit, on the western bank of the Sakae Krang River. When His Holiness Somdej Phra Wanarat (Heng Khemchari) traveled to inspect the temple and saw the Buddha image, he ordered the invitation of Luang Pho Phutthamongkhon Saksit to be enshrined at Wat Sangkasattanakiri, and the relics of the Lord Buddha were enshrined in Luang Pho's head.

Wat Sangkasatnakiree is a small temple located on the top of Sakae Krang Mountain. It has been a temple of Uthai Thani for a long time. It is outstanding with "Siri Maha Mayakutakara", a beautiful Thai-style pavilion that reflects the golden sunlight. It is located at the end of a long staircase that extends up to the top of the mountain with more than 449 steps. Every October, on the day of Ok Phansa, there is a famous Tak Bat Thevo ceremony here because there are more than 500 monks walking down the stairs to receive alms from Buddhists who come from all directions.
There is a beautiful view that is worth paying homage to for good luck in life. Those who are not comfortable walking up the stairs can drive up to the other side as well.
