Paying homage to the body of “Luang Pu Tim Atthasanto” or “Phra Khun Chao Luang Pho Phra Khru Sangwon Samanakit”, a famous monk of the old capital, enshrined in a wooden pavilion.
Luang Pu Tim, a famous monk of the old capital, was born on Sunday, March 1, 1913, in Phra Khao Subdistrict, Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He became the abbot of Wat Phra Khao since 1955 and developed Wat Phra Khao until it flourished. Luang Pu Tim passed away on March 22, 2009, at the age of 96 and in 61 years of monkhood. Even though Luang Pu Tim had been dead for about 13 years, there are still many relatives and devotees who come to pay homage to Luang Pu Tim’s body without fail.
