HadSiaew temple is a Buddhist temple was built by King Anourouthin in the 18th century is situated on the opposite side of the Mekong River and built on the 63,000 square meters land, surrounding Phoupasath, LongSiaw Creek and Mekong river at Chompet district.
The temple comprises of a chanting hall in lao architectural style with a double roofs and a Naga head on the 2 sides, and a residence for the monks, a praying hall, and a drum tower all come with the mural is gilded in Lao style.
Nowadays, This temple Is one of the historic sites of Chomphet district which is also included in the area of the World Heritage Site which is the great place to explore more about the out side of Luang Prabang.
There are two ways to access it:
by boat or crossing by ferry if traveling on foot, by bicycle or by motorcycle, which will take you about 30 minutes. Can also travel there boat directly rive up on the Mekong River which takes on 10 minutes from Wat Xiengthong.
Free entrance and open every: 8:00- 17:00
