One of the oldest stone forests in China, Longlin Stone Sea

⏰Recommended visit time: 3~4 hours
📸Play route & check-in spots:
Wansheng Stone Forest, also known as Longlin Stone Sea, is a product of the Ordovician period and is one of the oldest stone forests in China. The scenic area is super large, it is recommended to enter from the north gate and exit from the north gate~
1️⃣ Galloping Horses
At first glance, Galloping Horses looks like stepping into an alien planet! The gray-black stone forest is layered and spectacular! No need to go to Moxi Park, the photos taken here can also make you popular on social media~
2️⃣ Stone Fan
Walk a little forward from Galloping Horses, and you will see the Stone Fan! The huge stone looks like a fan, which is simply amazing~
3️⃣ One Line Sky
There are two One Line Skies in the stone forest! The small One Line Sky is inside Galloping Horses, the narrow stone walls can only allow one person to pass through, and the sunlight shining down makes it look just like Antelope Canyon! The big One Line Sky is even more amazing, you need to pass through a cave, the towering cliffs with steps in between look like an entrance to another world~
4️⃣ Misty Stone Forest
If you encounter a sunny day after rain, the Misty Stone Forest is simply a fairyland! The misty clouds and various shaped stones make people daydream~
5️⃣ Water Stone Forest
Unlike the steep and amazing Galloping Horses, the Water Stone Forest is more beautiful~ In the season of blooming flowers, the falling petals scatter on the lake, adding a touch of tenderness to the stone forest~

After the rain, Heishangu (Black Valley) is a summer retreat to escape the heat
💥Black Valley, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, is a forest park, a geological park, known as a Chinese leisure mountain, a green low-carbon tourism and leisure destination in China, a charming scenic spot in the Greater China region of Asia, one of Chongqing's 'New Twelve Scenic Spots', and an environmental protection demonstration area in Chongqing.
✨The geographical coordinates of Black Valley are 106°58'26"E, 28°51'46"N, located on the extension of the Dalou Mountains from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the Sichuan Basin, within the jurisdiction of Heishan Town in the Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone of Chongqing, 63 kilometers away from the urban area of Chongqing. The scenic area covers 100 square kilometers, with a vertical drop of 1200 meters between the mountain top and the valley bottom, a canyon length of 13 kilometers, and a slope of 70~80 degrees on both sides of the river valley.
✨The Black Valley scenic area in Chongqing is composed of the Black Valley and Wansheng Stone Forest scenic spots, featuring steep ridges, peak forests, secluded gorges, cliffs, forests, bamboo seas, waterfalls, clear waters, caves, antique plank roads, floating bridges, sea of clouds, farmland, primitive vegetation, and rare animals and plants. The area is densely forested and rarely visited, preserving one of the few subtropical and temperate natural ecologies on Earth at the same latitude, with a forest coverage rate of 97% and a high concentration of negative oxygen ions reaching 110,000 per cubic centimeter, like a natural oxygen bar, earning it the reputation of 'China's Health Valley'. It is currently the best-preserved primitive ecological natural scenic area in Chongqing, praised by experts as the 'Yunnan-Guizhou Biological Gene Pool', Chongqing's unique 'Biological Gene Pool', and the 'Shennongjia of the Southwest'.

Spring has arrived, and I took a self-drive trip to Wansheng Stone Forest
After a 1.5-hour drive from Chongqing, you can reach the free 5A-rated scenic spot - Wansheng Stone Forest.
This natural heritage, formed over six hundred million years, is a place suitable for emptying your mind and feeling the history. It takes 1 hour to reach Wansheng, which is 100 kilometers away from Shiqiaopu. After having a meal, I went for a stroll in the Stone Forest. The journey involves some winding mountain roads, and it took 26 minutes to cover the 15 kilometers to reach the south gate of Wansheng Stone Forest (the uphill road is a bit circuitous, and I even encountered several Xiaomi SU7 test cars along the way).
Admission: Free for women (seems to last for half a month), half price for men at 32 yuan, and 5 yuan for residents with a Wansheng local ID.
The scenic area is not crowded and not very commercialized. It is recommended to prepare food and drinks in advance. It takes about 3 hours to tour the area. 'Sky Line' and 'Galloping Horses' are must-sees. The weather was quite cold, so the caves were not open. Some parts of the tour can be tiring, and a few places are not very fat-friendly. I weigh 120 kg and I managed okay.
The scenery is amazing, after all, it is the oldest stone forest in China, and it's quite pristine. It's suitable for lying on the rocks to empty your mind, watch the fish, and take a walk.
