If you can't stay put during the holidays, why not go hiking and watch the sunrise and sunset
Pre-departure preparations: It is recommended to bring a flashlight if possible, though a mobile phone will suffice. It is suggested to bring a jacket as it can be windy and cold at the mountain top. Consider bringing a mat or something similar to sit on, as the ground may be damp with dew. Ensure you get enough sleep!
It is advised to travel by car! Plan your departure time according to your location!
◆The mountain road takes about 30 minutes to drive, and about 20 minutes to hike to the top! Navigation location:
Driving advice: Whether departing from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, or Shanghai, it is recommended to exit the highway at . This stretch is all flat and high-speed, not requiring experienced driver skills.
◆Follow the navigation, pass through 'Luniao Avenue', then to Baifeng Road, and the mountain road is up ahead!!!
Mountain driving requires certain driving experience. There are no restrictions on the type of vehicle. It is suggested that experienced drivers use manual transmission, maintaining a speed of 30km/h is enough on mountain roads, which are full of hairpin turns. Pay attention to the turning radius of the vehicle!!! You can turn slightly outward first, then turn in the direction of the turn. Most turning points are uphill, so go up in one go! If there is a car turning ahead, stop and wait for it to complete the turn before going up to prevent the other car from sliding back and ensure your own safety! Pay attention to the direction signs at forks, and drive towards 'Wangwei Mountain'! Upon arrival, park your car to the side and be courteous when encountering other vehicles!
◆Sunrise viewing recommendation: 'Casual hikers' can go straight to the top and sit on the grass in front to wait for the sunrise!
●It is recommended to sit on the high ground next to the signal tower on the right side of the mountain top, where there are fewer people! Last time I went, I took photos in front of the crowd, and soon someone came by, ruining the time-lapse! (Note: There are 'No Drone Flying' signs at the top of the mountain, with no signal interference)
Descent notice: Please take your trash with you when descending the mountain to protect the environment. It is everyone's responsibility!
◆Note: When driving downhill, it is advised to switch to manual transmission, or not to press the accelerator and lightly apply the brakes. Alternatively, stop and rest after a certain distance to prevent the brake discs from overheating. (That day I used manual transmission in combination with the brakes, and I could smell the brake discs)
