Wang'an Island Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center
Located on Wang'an Island in Penghu, the Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center is situated next to Tanmen Port, southeast of Wang'an Islet. At the entrance, there is a large green sea turtle statue. Penghu County's Wang'an Island is the hometown of green sea turtles, with beaches like Wang'an Wang'an Kou where green sea turtles return annually to lay eggs.
Upon entering the center, visitors first encounter the seabird exhibition area, which features various seabird models. Following this, they enter the green sea turtle exhibition room, which includes a model of a mother turtle laying eggs and specimens of baby turtles.
On the day of the visit, we were lucky to see baby green sea turtles. The staff mentioned that they would be released back into the sea in a few days.
