Located on Wang'an Island in Penghu, the Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center is situated next to Tanmen Port, southeast of Wang'an Islet. At the entrance, there is a large green sea turtle statue. Penghu County's Wang'an Island is the hometown of green sea turtles, with beaches like Wang'an Wang'an Kou where green sea turtles return annually to lay eggs. Upon entering the center, visitors first encounter the seabird exhibition area, which features various seabird models. Following this, they enter the green sea turtle exhibition room, which includes a model of a mother turtle laying eggs and specimens of baby turtles. On the day of the visit, we were lucky to see baby green sea turtles. 【Wang'an Island】 "Wang'ankou Beach" Located at the southern tip of Wang'an Island, the clear seawater changes color at different times of the day, hence it is also called the "Cocktail Beach." The shell sand of Wang'ankou Beach is white and soft, and the bay stretches nearly 1 kilometer in a curved shape. The beach has layers of circular stone walls for taking photos. Unfortunately, it was cloudy today, so we couldn't see the clear water, but the sand was indeed very fine and soft. "Tudigong Fishing Harbor Beach" You have to cross a small path to reach it, and along the way, you will see two green sea turtle statues. It really feels like a hidden gem. There was some sunshine when we arrived, so we could see the clear water. The sand here is noticeably coarser compared to Wang'ankou Beach. "Huazhai Settlement" Located in Zhongshe Village of Wang'an Township, the ancient houses of Zhongshe are surrounded by hills, resembling petals around a flower, hence the name "Huazhai." The exterior is Minnan-style ancient houses built with coral stones and flower tiles, but the moisture brought by the seawater has damaged many of the buildings. "Tiantai Mountain" At an altitude of 53 meters, it is the highest peak on Wang'an Island and the best place to overlook the main island of Wang'an and the opposite Huayu Island. "Yuanyang Cave Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center" The entrance fee is fifty yuan per person. The staff said that in five days, the baby green sea turtles will be released back into the sea. We were very lucky to see the green sea turtles.

Taiwan. Penghu Island Tour. Wangan-Qimei-Niaoyu||There are more than 90 islands of all sizes in Penghu. Due to time constraints, we arranged a two-day island tour. The first day is Wangan + Qimei. In the middle, the captain will drive the boat to other islands where people are not allowed to go ashore for tourists to watch from the sea. Those who can ride a bike can rent a scooter to ride around Wangan and Chimei Island. It is very free and you can ride leisurely because there are not many people. Wangan is relatively boring for us who came back from Australia. But Chimei has the Twin Hearts Stone Fishing Port, Little Taiwan, and Wangfu Stone, so there are still some attractions to see. There is a row of stalls in front of Shuangxin Stone Weir. I won’t tell you which one they are, but if you are not very hungry, it is not recommended to buy food here. I never knew there were such bad sausages in Taiwan, the mackerel was super fishy🤢🤢 Niaoyu has the second largest Tudigong Temple in Taiwan. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t seen a temple in Taiwan for too long, but I always feel that the temples in Penghu are very delicate, with many small details, and they are all beautiful.
