Tallinn surrounded by water, beautiful scenery, is the only city in northern Europe that maintains the appearance and style of the Middle Ages. The urban area is divided into two parts: the old city and the new city. In the middle of the 13th century, the old town of Tallinn was divided into the upper city and the lower city. The upper city is a gathering place for the upper class, the religious class and the feudal dignitaries. The famous castle Tombea is located in the upper city (Toompea hill).
Under the city is the residence of merchants and craftsmen. There is Lakoya Square. There is an octagonal prism tower on the square. The municipal building stands at the top of the building. The statue, which is the symbol of Tallinn, is a success in the place of punching.
