#Spring0yentrip I went strawberry picking at Furuwaya Farm in Kamagaya City, Chiba Prefecture! It's easily accessible from Tokyo, and you can just drop in by train. It's a small farm with a homey atmosphere, and I enjoyed picking strawberries at my own pace. On this day, I was able to compare four varieties of strawberries: Yayoihime, Kahorino, Benihoppe, and Starlight. Each has a different taste, aroma, and texture, so you can enjoy each one carefully. All varieties are fully ripe and sweet, and have a glossy appearance. The sweet and sour taste of Benihoppe is especially addictive! The strawberries grow low, so you have to bend down to pick them. It's recommended to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The greenhouse has a quiet and calm atmosphere. After receiving a brief explanation at the reception, you can pick and eat them freely without any staff escorts. The best thing about it is that you can enjoy it at your own pace without any hesitation. By the way, condensed milk was not provided, but there was no information on whether it was OK to bring it, so if you are concerned, it might be a good idea to inquire in advance. It was sweet and delicious enough as it was, so I was very satisfied even without condensed milk. If you want to eat fresh and delicious parfaits in Kamagaya, this is the place! ! The main flavor is strawberry parfait, but it's only available seasonally (December to May), so this time I had a parfait made with whole peaches 🍑 It contains peach sorbet, peach jelly, and vanilla soft serve! I went on a weekday at 13:30 and there were two groups waiting. Normally there can be a line of 10 groups, so I recommend going with plenty of time 🏃 You can feel the peaches in abundance, so if you like peaches, go early! ! "FREEK" is a hamburger shop located about a 10-minute walk from Mutsumi Station on the Tobu Urban Park Line. This shop was opened by someone who trained at "R-S," a regular in the 100 best hamburger restaurants. This time I ordered an avocado cheese burger. It costs 1,350 yen including tax. The bread is dense and you can fully enjoy the meatiness of the bun. It's very satisfying. It comes with fries as a set, and you can choose thick or thin depending on your preference. There were also other unique hamburgers such as the FREEK original Big Kahuna Burger and the Gauga Freak! I visited on a weekday lunch, but the store was full of reservations...! They happened to accept takeout, but it may take a while to pick it up. So you must make a reservation by phone.
