Vajiralongkorn Dam, formerly known as Khao Laem Dam, is the first rockfill dam in Thailand with a reinforced concrete surface. It is located on the Kwai Noi River and is a multi-purpose dam with the primary purpose of generating electricity. It was built to block the Kwai Noi River in Tambon Tha Khanun, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province.
Construction began in March 1979 and was completed in 1984. It has a capacity of 8.86 billion cubic meters and has 3 generators installed at the water discharge area with a capacity of 100,000 kilowatts, providing an average of 760 million kilowatts of electricity per year.
To get to the dam, take Highway No. 323 through Ban Pong, Luk Kae, Tha Maka, and Tha Muang into Kanchanaburi Province. Then turn left at Kaeng Sean Intersection on the Thong Pha Phum-Sangkhla Buri route. If you pass this route, we recommend that you stop by to see the beauty of the dam.

Khao Laem Skywalk @ Vajiralongkorn Dam
Everyone, today I will take you to see the skywalk at Vajiralongkorn Dam in Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province.
The skywalk here is a short bridge, not very long and not very high. The view is very beautiful because it is surrounded by mountains. If you come in the winter, you will see a sea of fog. There is also a water slide service here. Open from 13.00-18.00 hrs. every day.

Vajiralongkorn Dam, Kanchanaburi
Vajiralongkorn Dam, formerly known as Khao Laem Dam, is the first concrete rockfill dam in Thailand. It was built to block the Kwai Noi River and was completed in 1984. The dam is 92 meters high and 1,019 meters long. It has a water storage area of 388 square kilometers and a water capacity of 8.86 billion cubic meters. It also has 3 generators installed. In addition to generating electricity, Vajiralongkorn Dam is also useful for agriculture and irrigation, flood relief, and is a source of freshwater species. In front of the dam, there is a garden in honor of the 72nd Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, which is a garden decorated with beautiful bushes.
