Sometimes there's so much to say, but so little that we can express about it 🥸 Such is the experience of my stay in W Suzhou. With such a nice location of the hotel 🏨 the view is totally fantabulous, with a wide view of the lake and towering skyscraper which is the icon of the city 🏙️ And more importantly I was so lucky to see that from my bed, get humbled so much in the morning 🌄 On this perfect sunny day, it just gave me the right positivity to kick start the day #urbanexplorer#tripblazers#summervacation

Deep in
Staying in hotels that shows the panoramic view has always given me profound experience that lead to some immense productivity 🥸. It takes me deep in thoughts, in that ever lasting landscape let you take a sight away from all the problems that are magnified in front of our 👀 face. I did book a spectacular view room with king 👑 bed 🛏️. The comfort was amazing 😍 that I fell asleep in two minutes ( my usual time is 20 minutes though haha). Coming to the actual view 🪟 in this picture, it shows part of Jinji lake and the surrounding buildings. Also as I'm used to have a W brunch in Shanghai, they were able to meet the standards in Suzhou too. They have better Western breakfast 🥐 than all the five star hotels I've been to. #shanghailife #halloween2021 #themepark

Do I deserve a night at the W Hotel?
Do I deserve a night at the W Hotel?
Hahaha, I've been watching "Goodbye Lover" recently, so I decided to make a clickbait title. Check out the W Hotel in Xiamen, I feel like it's a nightclub disguised as a hotel!
The decor is totally nightclub style, very extravagant, and coincidentally, there's a new nightclub next door. I bet some guests get drunk outside and just stagger back to the hotel. I don't really get this adult "way of happiness."
When you walk into the lobby, past the front desk, wow, it's like a big slow rock bar, the decor is so "explosive"! There's even a bar at the back, and even a DJ. Isn't this a bit over the top? But from 6 to 8 pm every day is "happy hour," so if you want to have a drink and relax, you can go downstairs and join in the fun.
Then there's the breakfast room, which is very spacious, and the W's signature extravagant style is everywhere, even the cups are unique and exaggerated! I was planning to study quietly, but the atmosphere was like a constant reminder to drink. But to be fair, the space is big, the food is plentiful, and it tastes good.
Finally, the room is amazing! It's the first time I've seen a W Hotel room with a light button, and there's an option called "Magic," what a name, it doesn't sound very "serious." Curiosity killed the cat, so I tried it, and wow, the wall colors changed instantly, like magic, it was really fun! The gym has a sandbag that made me laugh, it looks like a nightclub pillow, not a serious gym sandbag.

Suzhou W Hotel Staycation
Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, I took my family to the W Hotel near our home for a staycation. The rooftop infinity pool was way better than expected. It was a great way to relax and start a wonderful vacation~
Weekend Hotel - Suzhou W Hotel
When I was looking at the map on the weekend, I told my wife that I had never been to Suzhou. My wife was incredulous. It's only 100 km away. It's not inconvenient to go there once, walk around, and spend the last weekend in August. We set off at 9 am on Saturday and arrived in time to have lunch at Songhelou on Pingjiang Road. After lunch, we walked around Pingjiang Road and then went to the hotel to check in.
We stayed at the Suzhou W Hotel on the weekend. It's next to Jinji Lake and is part of the Suzhou Center shopping mall. The rooms at the W are great. The bathtub and sofa are right next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and you can see Jinji Lake outside the window. Some people were riding jet skis and duck boats. The room's wash area and rest area are separated by a wall, so they don't interfere with each other. The hotel has a happy hour from 5 pm to 7:30 pm in the lobby. There's not a lot of food, but they do have soft drinks, red and white wine, and champagne. The ciabatta was really to my taste. The breakfast at the W was also good. I usually don't eat a lot of carbs, but I couldn't resist the noodles with toppings at breakfast.

【Suzhou W】Marvelous Suite
The Marvelous Suite at Suzhou W Hotel faces Jinji Lake, the opposite Niccolo Hotel, and the Ferris wheel under construction, offering a great view.
Suzhou W is the only W hotel in China that I haven't checked in yet, mainly due to the inconvenience caused by the lack of an airport in Suzhou. I left home at 7 AM and arrived in Suzhou at 2 PM.
During the weekend at the end of the summer vacation, there were too many guests, and people were queuing for breakfast in the elevator lobby. I paid the difference to upgrade to the Marvelous Suite.
Due to the excellent view and large room area, other aspects seemed not to be an issue. The green TV wall and moon lamp are standard features of W, and the green acrylic is well-treated without a cheap feel. However, many lacquered items are heavily worn, with many scratches and bumps.
Three suite selection strategies:
12 Cool Corner Suite/Studio Suite: A corner suite with a missing corner, the living room faces the city view, and the bedroom faces Jinji Lake, but there are missing corners and obstructions. Both have the same layout; below the 24th floor is the Cool Corner Suite, and above the 25th floor is the Studio Suite.
07 Fantastic Suite: A corner suite, the living room faces the Gate of Suzhou, and you can see the fountain; the bedroom faces Jinji Lake, which is a very good suite. Non-weekend members have a better chance of being upgraded to this room type.
10 Marvelous Suite: Only 5 rooms, on the top five floors, equivalent to two lake-view rooms combined, but the area is a few square meters smaller than the Fantastic Suite. Since it is not a corner suite, both the living room and bedroom face Jinji Lake directly, making it the best view room type. The entrance has a round dining table, and the walk-in closet/bathroom layout is also very good. Only suite vouchers can upgrade to this room type.
W does not have an executive lounge, but members can enjoy happy hour in a designated area of the lobby bar, with drinks and some snacks. The Chinese restaurant Su Yan on the 34th floor is also very good, with both a great view and excellent dishes.
Overall, I think W is more comfortable to stay in than Niccolo, with less crowded public areas, a more suitable height for lake views, and complete facilities. However, the need to queue for breakfast due to the large number of rooms is a downside.

Letter to You Going to Suzhou in June | Latest Experience Sharing, Full Guide for Four Days and Three Nights
👍️Recommended Reason:
A city of Gusu, half a poem of the south of the Yangtze River. Every son and daughter of China surely harbors a dream of the south of the Yangtze. Imagining the light sway of silk fans, dreaming on the Milky Way.
If you want to experience the south of the Yangtze, probably a month wouldn't be enough. As for a working stiff like me, taking two days off plus the weekend, I also got to appreciate the charm of the transition from spring to summer in the south of the Yangtze.
📅Travel Strategy:
Day1: Suggest taking an early flight, check into the Gusu District. In the afternoon, visit the Canglang Pavilion (play for 1.5h), in the evening choose to tour Panmen at night (play for 1h), then head straight to Shantang Street (play for 1~2h).
Day2: In the morning, go to Tiger Hill first (play for 2h), during the hottest part of the day visit Suzhou Museum (play for 2h~3h), after 2 pm go to the Humble Administrator's Garden (play for 1.5h~2h), and before 5 pm enter the Lion Grove Garden (stay until closing), at night take a night tour of Pingjiang Road (play for about 2h). If you take a night tour of the Humble Administrator's Garden, you can swap times with the Lion Grove Garden.
Day3: Visit Hanshan Temple in the morning (half a day), in the afternoon switch hotels to Jinji Lake, watch the sunset and night view of Jinji Lake.
Day4: Depending on personal transportation status, if time permits, you can take a walk around the neighboring Yangcheng Lake, then return.
🍜Food Strategy:
Highly recommend Suzhou-style mung bean soup and crab roe noodles, the refreshing mint in the mung bean soup and the fragrant crab roe noodles are unforgettable.
Snacks are one aspect, but I really suggest trying the snow-fleece tofu, lion's head meatballs, boiled white cabbage, squirrel-shaped mandarin fish, drunken crab marinated in Huadiao wine, etc., at a big hotel for a dual enjoyment of sight and taste.
🏨Accommodation Strategy:
In the city, I strongly recommend the Pan Pacific Suzhou, which offers free admission to Panmen, and most importantly, after 9 pm, the illuminated Panmen is all yours.
Another top recommendation is the Wyndham Garden Suzhou, which is right outside Guanqian Street, with Pingjiang Road to the right.
Jinji Lake is where Suzhou's high-end hotels are clustered. Hyatt, Niccolo, Shangri-La, Hilton, W, Kempinski, Renaissance, and more... choose according to the price you are willing to pay.
💗Other tips:
1. Each garden in Suzhou is actually not large, but if you look closely, it's easy to get immersed and time flies quickly.
2. Each garden is basically at its most beautiful around 5 pm in terms of light and shadow, but you can only choose one each day.
3. Choose either a night tour of the Humble Administrator's Garden or the Master of the Nets Garden, if the weather is good and you can watch the sunset, the Humble Administrator's Garden is recommended, as the Master of the Nets Garden has more performances.
4. For watching the sunset at Jinji Lake, it is recommended to go to the Golden Water Bay Pier, which is much prettier.
5. Suzhou does not have an airport, you can only fly to Shanghai or Wuxi, if flying to Shanghai, there is a high-speed train directly to Suzhou. Choose a high-speed train station in Suzhou according to the area you want to visit (Suzhou North Station is close to Yangcheng Lake; Suzhou Industrial Park Station is close to Jinji Lake, Yangcheng Lake; Suzhou New District Station is close to Tai Lake and Tiger Hill; Suzhou Station is in the city area... there are also Yangcheng Lake Station, Kunshan Station, Taicang Station, etc., just understand that Suzhou's high-speed rail is extremely well-developed)
6. The night tour of the ancient canal is basically not recommended, as it is far inferior to the night tours of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, the Haihe River in Tianjin. In contrast, the night view of Jinji Lake is more beautiful.
The gardens that you didn't get a chance to visit this time, consider them a small regret, and save them for next time.

Suzhou's past and present, a three-day two-night essence tour guide
🌟 Highlights:
The essence of Suzhou's past is hidden in the old city area, which can be divided into two major areas: the Pingjiang Road historical area and the Shantang Street historical area; Suzhou's present is the Suzhou Industrial Park, revolving around Jinji Lake, the Gate of the Orient, and the central area of Suzhou!
Visiting Suzhou means appreciating the 'Prosperous Suzhou' of the past and experiencing the present of the strongest prefecture-level city in the country. The blend of tradition and modernity is the essence of a Suzhou tour! Three days and two nights cover the classics of the classics, the essence of the essence!
🚉 Detailed Strategy
Day 1: Morning:
Most people arrive at Suzhou Station and take the subway Line 4, one stop to Beisita Station. Exiting here, you can see the symbol of Suzhou's ancient city, the North Temple Pagoda, which dictates the height restrictions of Suzhou's ancient city! A walk of about 800 meters brings you to the main building of the Suzhou Museum, the Suzhou Museum, which is the final masterpiece of the Chinese-American architectural master I.M. Pei. It skillfully blends Suzhou-style architecture with white walls and black tiles and the changing views of Suzhou gardens, using light and lines to create art! Exiting the museum, you are right at one of the four famous gardens, the Humble Administrator's Garden. The Humble Administrator's Garden is all about changing views with every step, with pavilions, terraces, and towers, and the techniques of framing and leaking views are fully displayed! Not far away is the Lion Grove Garden, which is the art of stones, with unique shapes and diverse styles of Taihu rocks!
At noon, you will arrive at the Pingjiang Road historical block. Half a step into the history of Suzhou, the adapted 'Slow, Slow Tune' drifts along the jelly-like river, where you see various ancient-costumed beauties shuttling back and forth, where history and modernity meet again!
By now, you must be a bit hungry. Actually, walking to the opposite side of Guanqian Street, you come to the Shuangta, the Shuangta Market. Have some tofu pudding, Suzhou-style wontons, and pan-fried buns, or noodles with various toppings, and experience the daily life of Suzhou people!
In the afternoon, switch time and space, take the subway Line 1 from Pingjiang Road Xiangmen Station to Suzhou Industrial Park. You can get off at Times Square, and right there are the Eslite Bookstore and Moon Harbor. The steps of the Eslite Bookstore are a great spot for taking photos, and at Moon Harbor, you can book a free water bus ride on Jinji Lake to visit Peach Blossom Island!
In the evening, you can take photos and dine at the Gate of the Orient and the Suzhou Center. Enjoy the evening music fountain, then take a stroll along Ligong Causeway and experience the night view of Jinji Lake!
Day 2: Morning, you should start with the Lingering Garden. The Lingering Garden holds more appeal to Suzhou locals than the Humble Administrator's Garden, with top-flow camellias blooming in spring. Not far from the Lingering Garden, walk to the Xiyuan Temple, where you can pet cats, eat vegetarian noodles, and pray for a marriage match. If interested, staying to chant sutras and volunteer is also a good choice! For lunch, vegetarian noodles should be your meal (15 yuan) at the door. Take bus 406 for three stops to Hanshan Temple. Every Chinese person knows Zhang Ji's 'A Night Mooring by Maple Bridge', and you can experience the 108 bell tolls of Hanshan Temple!
In the afternoon, head to Tiger Hill. The story of Tang Bohu's 'Autumn Fragrance' and the legend of King Wu of Wu are associated with Tiger Hill, and the Tiger Hill Pagoda is Suzhou's Leaning Tower of Pisa!
In the evening, the last stop of the trip is the Seven-Mile Shantang. The most beautiful part of Shantang Street is the last six miles. You can also take a boat ride from Bai Juyi Pier on the Suzhou Ancient Canal (Shantang Street Bai Juyi Pier) to experience the beauty of Shantang Street at night! Shantang Street has Suzhou gifts to buy and take back for friends and family! If you have the energy, you can leave overnight, but staying an extra night is also fine!
📝 Tips:
1. Pingjiang Road, Shantang Street, Suzhou Museum, Jinji Lake free bus, and the Gate of the Orient are all free.
2. Lingering Garden 45 yuan, Humble Administrator's Garden 70 yuan, Xiyuan Temple 5 yuan, Hanshan Temple 20 yuan, Tiger Hill 60 yuan.
3. For accommodation, it's more convenient to stay around Pingjiang Road or Shantang Street.
4. I don't recommend trying anything related to crabs. First, your stomach may not be comfortable, and second, it's expensive and not worth it!
5. Small attractions may not fit your schedule. The Lotus Garden is quite convenient on Pingjiang Road, and the magnolia flowers in spring are superb! Other attractions like Canglang Pavilion, Keyuan Garden, Yipu Garden, and Master of the Nets Garden are best left for next time! If you have too much time, Taihu Lake and Yangcheng Lake are also worth experiencing!

Discover a different Suzhou starting from Suzhou W / Suzhou W Fantasy Suite Stay Experience
Hotel Comprehensive Recommendation Index: Five Stars
Membership Level: Titanium Gold
The first impression Suzhou gave me was that of a gentle and graceful lady from the Jiangnan water towns, but Suzhou W is like a lively and vivacious young girl, which is a completely new interpretation of Suzhou.
Suzhou W is located in a prime position in the Suzhou Industrial Park, boasting beautiful views of Jinji Lake and close to the iconic 'Giant Pants' Gate to the East and the landmark Suzhou Center. It can definitely be said to be blessed with unique advantages. This time, staying for three consecutive nights, the experience was very satisfying. It can be said that to understand a different Suzhou, start from Suzhou W.
I had called the hotel in advance to know that the rooms were in high demand during my stay, but upon check-in, I was told that the room had been upgraded to the Fantasy Suite 2607. This surprise was totally unexpected. With an area of over 110 square meters, the large panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer a view of the beauty of Jinji Lake. Both the master and guest bathrooms are equipped with Toto Washlets, and Dyson hair dryers and Momo toiletry products are standard.
Suzhou's Lan Chinese Restaurant is an award-winning in-house Chinese restaurant, with a seductive red tone that adds avant-garde and unrestrained feelings to the traditional Chinese dining atmosphere. It is also the only hotel I have seen that places a bar directly in the Chinese restaurant.
The Japanese restaurant on the third floor of the hotel is not operated by the hotel itself.
The flagship restaurant on the fourth floor provides us with a rich buffet breakfast every day, as well as a buffet with a wide variety of styles. There is an outdoor terrace outside the restaurant, but the cooling and rainy weather in Suzhou is not suitable for strolling.
The Woo bar in the lobby on the first floor becomes the most enticing place after nightfall. Restless patrons begin to ask the bartender to mix their first cocktail.
Although no hot food is provided during HH hours, alcoholic beverages, drinks, and cold snacks are still provided for those with executive benefits or premium members. For those with a Chinese stomach, don't consider this as an option to fill up.
The Away Spa on the 35th floor of the hotel looked attractive after dinner with its capsule-style room design. I took a picture of the price list for interested friends to see. Premium members have corresponding discounts, but it is still recommended to ask the front desk for details.
The fitness center and indoor swimming pool on the 36th floor of the hotel exude a full hormone atmosphere, where you can choose to do yoga in the gym or sweat on the treadmill. The WET pool is currently the highest swimming pool in Suzhou, where you can swim while overlooking the cityscape of Suzhou. The pool area has a sauna room.

Suzhou! The affordable W Hotel is so nice to stay at
It's one of the earlier W Hotels to open, with green as its theme color. Under the lush green light, the rooms are quite nice, offering views of Jinji Lake, and the breakfast is quite rich. However, it can't compare with the quality of the W Hotel in Shanghai, it's a lot worse in every aspect!

🛏️: This time helped to upgrade to the fashionable room with the view of Jinji Lake, 50㎡ room area🉑 is quite satisfactory😁 The bedding is also soft and comfortable, the room is also equipped with a fresh air machine😯 The Minibar of W Hotel is also a highlight, a small refrigerator➕ a box of snacks is very convenient, and the 🉑 choice is quite large, the quality of the bathrobe is also good, quite like it😁

it’s always a great experience at W hotels, especially at Suzhou. The location is so convenient some rooms have the fountain view and there is an entrance into Suzhou center shopping mall that connects the mall and the hotel bringing you the best convenience. Also the hotel’s own restaurant is amazing.#goodfoods

Mix of Cultures
With most of the design decisions of famous buildings has always been an outcome of mixed thinking 💭 rather than more monotonic. The same way is this tall tower, Gate of the Orient in the heart of the city 🌆. One tower on the left has most of the residential buildings and the other tower has commercial places, hotels and at the 66th floor they've a beautiful garden 🌸, as Suzhou is also called as the garden city. So here we go a mix of western architecture that has chinese subtlety imbibed in it. The mall behind the tower, from bird's view 🪟, gives me an idea of a big baozi cut open and served to public haha. To see this combined view in the morning is totally spectacular. Initially it was also mocked as the shape of trouser leading to a nick name as, Pants of the East (no offense though). But here it is coming out of those criticism and standing tall & strong. #suzhoutravel #staycation #couplestrip

Staycation is serenity
Here I go for another business trip, had a great time in another amazing hotel. W hotel was always on my radar, that whenever I get a chance I just want to take it. We checked-in on a relaxed Sunday evening 🌆, expecting to see the sunset through crystal 🔮 clear glass walls. Although it was cloudy, the view from the 24th floor was truly mind-blowing and making us to stay there even more. Definitely an wholesome experience, and worth your money 💰Also they have a well maintained gym with all the necessary equipments and, most importantly cleanly disinfected. #suzhoutravel #whotel #staycation

The W hotel in every place is always popular in the city. The network in Suzhou has been in the red for a long time, and the card punching in recent days is indeed well-deserved. Here are a few places where I think the value and design are in place:
Walk into the lobby of W Hotel in Suzhou, the sparkling metal sequins create a sense of flow through the changes in lighting. Wooba, the city's most fashionable bar, is on the left side of the lobby. The sunken sofa is fascinating and private even during the day. On the murals of the lobby, the W is deeply imprinted in the Soviet-style bridge and garden pavilion. Taichung.
The room is a "suspended garden" design, and there is a Jiangnan style raft on the bed; looking out from the window of the living room, the eyes are full of the golden skyline of Jinji Lake; you can shoot anywhere in the room You can make a cocktail at night into your own night party.
The 36-story blue-wave pool is the highest swimming pool in Suzhou. It overlooks the whole Jinji Lake. The red bicycle and hollow clouds hanging from the zenith are full of design. The gym skillfully blends the most Kunqu elements in Suzhou. The girl who came to the gym without the time to remove the Kunqu headdress, has a refreshing surprise.
