Avoiding the holiday crowds, I took a weekend trip from Wuhan - just a 3-hour drive to experience 2 days of island living at Lushan West Lake. Exit at Longgang toll station and drive along the national road for a while - the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful! Photos 7-10: In the evening, we checked into the Yongguichuan Private Island Resort Hotel at West Lake, which was a delightful surprise.
