Winter Charm: Dusk at Volga Manor in Harbin
In the winter of Harbin, it starts to get dark as early as 4 PM🌒. When you arrive at Volga Manor🏰 by the Ashi River, a cultural tourist spot filled with Russian charm🇷🇺, the surrounding beauty is incredibly exciting🎉, especially with the winter sunlight☀️ illuminating the entire manor.
As time passes, the sunset🌇 slowly descends, painting the sky in golden and orange hues🌅, creating a stark contrast with the white snow❄️, making me stop in my tracks to savor this beautiful scene.
The sunset, like a burning fireball🔥, slowly sinks, casting its glow on the surrounding trees🌲 and buildings🏛️, enveloping the entire manor in a layer of golden radiance✨.

Winter Journey: Volga Manor in Harbin and Russian Matryoshka Doll Experience
When winter arrives❄️, it's time to visit a place that's really cold. Harbin is the perfect destination for a winter trip. In winter, Harbin is covered in snow. I visited the Volga Manor located by the Ashi River. This place spans over 600,000 square meters and blends Harbin's history with Russian culture.
Walking into the manor, it's a world of white. The Russian-style buildings look particularly charming in the snow. Each building in the manor exudes a strong Russian flavor, making me feel like I'm in a foreign country.
The highlight of my visit was painting Russian Matryoshka dolls. Under the guidance of an instructor, I learned how to paint on wooden Matryoshka dolls. From the initial base color to the intricate patterns, every step was filled with creativity and fun.
Feel the chill in the air and the warmth in your heart as you explore the icy wonders of Harbin! Here's a snapshot of the coolest attractions in China's frosty paradise.
🏰 Harbin Ice and Snow World
Ice and Snow World Park, Sun Island West District, Songbei District, Harbin
Step into a fairy tale made of ice at the world's largest ice and snow theme park. Marvel at the ice sculptures collected from the Songhua River, ride the Ferris wheel, and be dazzled by the live shows and night views. Bundle up and enjoy the slide but be prepared for queues. The cold is biting, but the experience is thrilling!
🐅 Northeast Tiger Forest Park
88 Songbei Street, Songbei District, Harbin
Get up close with the majestic tigers in this unique sanctuary. Although you might have to wait to enter, the sight of these lazy big cats lounging under the trees is worth it. Don't miss the chance to feed them and witness their grandeur from the safety of the sightseeing vehicles!
🚠 Songhua River Sightseeing Cableway
218 Tongjiang Street, Daoli District, Harbin
Glide over the Songhua River and enjoy the stunning views from the cableway. The scenery changes from day to night, with the night view being particularly mesmerizing. It's a smooth ride with options to return by ferry or subway, making for a unique urban adventure.
🏰 Volga Manor
Minqiang Village, Chenggaozi Town, Xiangfang District, Harbin
Immerse yourself in Russian culture at Volga Manor, where the architecture is as vibrant as the performances. Enjoy the winter activities or simply stroll through the picturesque grounds. The manor offers a slice of Russia in China, with performances and the chance to indulge in local cuisine.
🐧 Harbin Polarpark·Polarland
277 Sun Avenue, Songbei District, Harbin
Dive into the world of polar creatures at Polarland. While the ticket prices might be steep, the animal shows are spectacular. It's the perfect educational and fun outing for families, and the service is top-notch. Don't miss the dolphin and beluga performances, and enjoy the cool respite from summer's heat.
🏛️ Sophia Square
South Bank of the Songhua River, Daoli District, Harbin
Discover the cultural heart of Harbin at Sophia Square. The iconic Saint Sophia Cathedral lights up the night sky, while the surrounding area bustles with life. It's a hub for photography, history, and leisure, where you can feed pigeons or simply soak in the European ambiance.

I would like to call it the 'Northeast Russian Disney' dreamy fairy tale town
I, this little potato from the south, finally made a brave trip to Harbin~
😂Minus 20 degrees Celsius is really not too sour and cool~
❄️Ice and Snow World really has too many people, if you like to take pictures and play in the snow, and don't want to be crowded, then I suggest choosing this 'Little Disney', inside are colorful and beautifully shaped Russian buildings, you can also play on the big slide and sled, the key is that there are few people here, I would like to call it the 'Northeast Russian Disney'😃
-
📍Volga Manor
25 kilometers away from Harbin city, on the bank of Ash River, is a park with Russian culture as the theme, more than 30 🌈colorful castles, covered with thick white snow in winter, just like a fairy tale world, 📸taking pictures is too good-looking.
-
🏂Amusement projects
Castle big slide, horse-drawn plow, snow spinning, sled train... It is recommended to go in the morning, go straight to the Petrov Art Palace to play on the big slide, basically no queue.

Russian manor near Harbin
Volga manor is a restored Russian style village about 40min drive from downtown Harbin. To get there I recommend taking a taxi (50ish rmb) then you can take a bus back to the city at 5pm when the park closes (20rmb). The entrance ticket is 120rmb for adults.
It’s beautiful in the winter with great scenery and sledding/slides. Also has an vodka museum and Russian restaurant onsite, the former which is worth a visit but the food at the latter isn’t very good.

Autumn Manor Volga
It is no secret that there are a lot of Russian things in Harbin: houses, food, etc. Therefore, it is no coincidence that this park was opened in Harbin. The best time to visit is autumn. At this time, the park is especially reminiscent of Russian nature: yellow trees, wooden houses, benches near the water and a bridge in which trees, houses and benches are reflected. This recreation center, where there is a hotel, a museum, shops with Russian souvenirs, a restaurant, a bathhouse. You can come for the whole day or spend the night. The most famous sights: Saint Nicholas Church, Pushkin Salon, Villa of Forest. It takes about 80 minutes from the city center.
Transport: take bus No. 377 branches to Volga Manor Station.

Volga Manor
A breathtaking site that is a must see on your Harbin “To Do List”
Volga Manor is a bit outside of the city, but nothing like a good bus ride to get you there for the day.
Getting There - We made use of Taobao app to book a online group. The bus picked us up in the city center and drove us to the area. We had time on our own to explore and met with the group later the day. Bus fees include the entrance fees as well.
Attractions - Plenty of old buildings that you can enter. I particularly enjoyed the inside of these buildings. One can observe the old Russian style housing. There is a beautiful church as well in the area. I’d recommend you to walk around in the snow and explore.
If you are into skiing you can do that too. It’s relatively cheap and duration is good. Don’t worry if you aren’t a pro yet. The slope isn’t that fast. So what are you waiting for. Go have fun.!
Hotels - I’d recommend booking hotels in the city center to allow you to see what you want during your stay.
Food & Restaurants - There is a underground restaurant in the Volga Manor area where you can drink some Vodka and eat something. Best would be to bring snacks for the day.

Stunning Russian Architecture Park in Harbin
In January, I visited one of the coldest cities in
China, Harbin! This city is famous for the Harbin Ice
and Snow Festival but has many other hidden gems
to explore.
This pink house is located within Volga Manor which
is a Russian influenced attraction that has stunning
architecture to explore. Some of the highlight that
we saw there besides the beautiful buildings were
exploring a historic Vodka Museum and sliding down
an ice luge from the sixth story of a stunning place.
Woo!
I highly recommend visiting Volga Manor if you are
in Harbin! :)

#wintergetaway #merryxmas #holidayvacation Highlights at Volga Manor: Saint Nicholas Church - It is a beautiful wooden structure that sits on the other end of the happiness bridge. This orthodox cathedral was built in 1896 for Russian expatriates in Harbin. In 1966 the church was torn down, due to China and the Soviet Union not agreeing with each other. It was finally reconstructed in 1997.

Volga Manor - It’s a Chinese “park” with a Russian influence that covers an area of 600,000 square meters. The Volga River, which is a well known river in Russia, runs through the park... hence the name. It was built in 1899 and now has a hotel along with many attractions

Seeing each other in autumn, the age of autumn leaves is different. I loved the land covered with colorful autumn leaves, the long and deep road, the coolness of the wind, the tight coat, to enjoy the rhythm of the leaves dancing with the hair.
This is the first time I have seen Volga Manor. It seems to be the first time I met Harbin's fall, the autumn leaves filled with warm sun, the European-style buildings full of Russian style, and the mirrored manor. It is the original mark I left here!

[Volga Manor] The warm lodge in the three bear parks, together with the Russian aunts, draws a doll
as the name suggests, is a place for children and parents to play, in the summer at three bear parks A variety of parent-child activities, and in the winter, we are hiding in the house, visiting a group of craftsmen from other places.
Russian doll (Russian ) is a Russian wooden toy. It is usually composed of a plurality of hollow wooden dolls of the same pattern, up to more than ten. It is famous for its bright colors and exquisite patterns. According to legend, the Russian nation has two cousins who are adjacent to each other. The cousin grew up with his childhood. Later, his cousin went away from his hometown. Because he missed his cousin in his hometown, he made wooden dolls every year, and he made dolls bigger every year. A few years later, he returned to his hometown and gave the doll to his cousin, who later imitated the doll.
The warmth of the production workshop, the warm-toned furnishings and the elegant and kindly dolls, melted the chill of winter.

Located on the outskirts of Harbin City, Volga Manor covers an area of more than 600,000 square meters. It is a garden whose theme reflects the Russian culture. The Volga Manor has successively rebuilt many old Russian buildings in Harbin, such as the “Mini Ajur” restaurant in the shape of a sailboat on the Sun Island, and the “Fantagia” club. Some others are the Volga Hotel, the Pushkin Salon, and the Banya Bath Center. It showcases the classic Russian architecture.

I recommend this scenic spot
Recently, I saw some travel friends recommending Harbin's tourist attractions on Ctrip, and I can say the content is quite comprehensive. However, I noticed that 'Volga Manor' was not mentioned in it, so I am providing feedback here. I strongly recommend the Volga Manor scenic spot. Although it is a relatively new man-made scenic spot, it is very beautiful and well worth a visit.

This manor is extraordinary
This time, we went to a new scenic spot in Harbin, which is the Volga Manor. We had never been here before, and it is said to be a new attraction in the suburbs of Harbin. We took a ride-hailing car to get here, and there are tourist buses from Sofia Square to Volga Manor every day. This place is really beautiful. Although many things are artificially constructed, you can still feel the authentic Russian style. The scenery inside is very suitable for taking photos.

Harbin has released another hit, instantly transporting you to Russia
It truly feels like traveling in Russia and Eastern European countries, but the key is, this is Harbin.
Harbin always surprises us, and before you know it, it stuns everyone with a new hit.
The latest sensation is called 'Volga Manor'.
The name itself has a Russian vibe.
What's crucial is that this place is not just authentically European in appearance, the interiors of the buildings are also richly European. European galleries, large oil paintings, sculptures, pianos, furniture, and vintage tableware, everywhere you look is filled with European charm.
Every casual snapshot is a masterpiece.
Volga Manor is located on the banks of the Ash River in the suburbs of Harbin. It is a national 4A level cultural tourism area themed on Harbin's history and Russian culture, a creative base for the Russian Artists Association, and an international exchange center for Moscow University. The reconstructed St. Nicholas Church and the riverside restaurant carry the memories of old Harbin residents; the Petrov Art Palace and the Pushkin Exhibition Hall provide platforms for cultural and artistic exchanges.
The entire manor is a landscape of scenes based on old Harbin architecture. The Little Birch Restaurant is a work designed by the famous Russian designer Labiche for the Paris International Exhibition, with a unique front view from all four sides, each with its own characteristics, and is considered one of the world's classic wooden buildings; the reconstructed St. Nicholas Church within the manor was once a landmark building of Harbin, witnessing a century of urban changes.

Harbin Volga Manor: A Russian-style Enchanting Journey for the Heart
Harbin Volga Manor, a picturesque Russian-style park. As you wander through, the red walls and golden tiles shine in the sunlight, and the aroma of vodka intoxicates the senses. Within the manor, Russian-style architecture is elegant and dignified, with each brick and tile telling tales of exotic charm. Tasting the manor's home-brewed vodka, its rich flavor seems to touch the boldness and passion of Russia. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the manor but also to savor the charm of a foreign culture.

Of course, you must go!!!!!
1 We opted for a package that includes round-trip transportation and entrance tickets for 168 yuan per person, which comes with a free snowboard experience. Other activities require an additional fee, generally around 20-30 yuan per person, and meals are also not included. The staff will inform you about these options on the bus ride there, and whether you choose to eat or participate in any activities is completely voluntary. I recommend trying out the snow tubing (big slide) activity—it's incredibly thrilling and fun! Plus, there's no need to queue!!!!! The other experiences are just average. As for the time, I suggest spending 2-3 hours.
2 For those who love taking photos, you absolutely must not miss this!! Any random snapshot turns out great!!! This Guangdong native couldn't experience snow in the city these past few days, but coming here has completely fulfilled my longing for snow! Vast expanses of snow and beautiful snowy landscapes! It's truly gorgeous!

Volga Manor in Harbin has its own Disney!
🏰Volga Manor
In summer, it's a green courtyard; in winter, it's a snowy romantic fairy tale world❄️.
The garden is full of European-style castles and white birch forests, creating a snowy wonderland that makes you linger and forget to return. Wouldn't you want to experience such romance?
To date, only Volga Manor—a place that might just be a magnificent collection of Russian-style architecture in other seasons, but when the snow flurries, it becomes so dreamy that one only wants to roll in the snow.💐
It's especially suitable for people who like to take photos. The church⛪ and various other buildings inside are particularly beautiful and photogenic. You can ride horses in the garden, slide down slides, spin in snow tubes, 🐴horse-drawn sleds and other snow activities are available, and you can ask about the prices, which are not expensive. There are also Russian performances in the art gallery.
The manor is built entirely of wood🌲, constructed by interlocking wood joints. If you need souvenirs, you can buy them from the Russian goods store inside the manor; do not buy Russian goods near the train station, as they are hardly genuine.
⭐Attractions
🏰Castle Cross-Country Skiing
Explore the Russian-style castles and traverse the snow valleys to appreciate the rare sight of the ancient Jack sailboat
🏰Castle Snow Tubing
An exciting and thrilling experience; then take a horse-drawn sled to tour 'Poseidon Bay,' where the exotic winter scenery is stunningly beautiful

But after comprehensive consideration, we chose Yunshang for its better cost-performance ratio~
🚗Day2: Walk to Daoli Market - St. Sophia Cathedral - Old-fashioned Spicy Hot Pot - Volga Manor - Northeastern Cuisine on Central Street
📌Daoli Market has everything you need💃
I absolutely adore the dairy products there~
Roasted sausages, yogurt cakes, yogurt slices, beef buns...
📌Volga Manor🎫148:
The place is big but we didn't feel it was worth it
We went too late and some attractions were no longer available, and some required an additional fee
📸Those who like taking photos can go have a look
🚗Day3: Shopping at Daoli Market - Laochang Spring Rolls - Harbin Pharmaceutical Factory No.6 - Songhua River Bridge - Sorghum Red Iron Pot Stew
📌Harbin Pharmaceutical Factory No.6:
✅Opening hours: 9:00-16:00
Free, no reservation needed! Just show your ID card
Others are factories, it's a palace~ Prosperous✨✨
📌Songhua River Bridge: Recommended to go in the afternoon, the sunset is beautiful~
🚗Day4: Tianheng Mountain Ski Resort🏂 - Yunshang Bathing Center
Gourmet section:
Shanhetun is really a must-recommend!!
Laochang Spring Rolls are not recommended, you can try Northeastern BBQ
I must say, the Northeastern big brother is really enthusiastic👍
🔚Alright! That's the end of the Harbin guide, if you have any questions, ask me~
