Early spring outing to see a wonderful lake on Altay. When first time I saw the pictures of this lake I thought it’s photoshopped. So during my spring trip to Altay I decided to check it. How I was surprised that all the pictures I’ve seen were of real colors! The lake is so magnificent. But of course not applicable for swimming. To reach that place you need to drive first and then take a nice spring 15 minutes walk directly to the lake. #springwander

I recommend to go to this place in the end of spring, but we went there in May. Although there were not that much blooming around it was still a great adventure: first, you need to cross the river in a special boat, then you need to hike along the beautiful valley and finally you reach Kurkure waterfall and have a picnic next to it. Just a perfect spring outing. #springwander

The local food cooked by the owners is just delicious. We stayed there for a couple of nights during our tour. A very nice option for this purpose, especially if you want to explore the most beautiful areas of Altay republic.

#celebrateit The beauty of Altay nature on the way to a wonderful waterfall. There are many legends about the big stones that you can see along the way. Actually no one can tell for sure where they come from but it makes hiking more interesting especially if you have a guide knowing all the legends and superstitions. The hiking itself is very easy, no ups and downs. Before getting there you need to cross a river in a boat, which is a very interesting experience.

A unique lake for your unique celebrations. It’s a small thermal lake with the springs bubbling up from the lake floor that make interesting pictures on the bottom and the lake looks so unique because of that. The lake never freezes. So you can observe this beauty all year around. The view is so beautiful that you can sit there for hours watching how the colors and the pictures on the lakes changing. The entrance now is not free, but very cheap. And good thing is that now the walking way to the lake has an equipped road which makes walking very easy and fast. #celebrateit
