During our staycation in Kuala Lumpur , we explored the eateries around and made it a must to try the legendary nasi lemak here. It was really delicious! The rice was fluffy and fragrant, excellent sambal, and the fried chicken was so juicy and crispy, it tasted heavenly, definitely worth all the calories. Other than nasi lemak, they also offer other dishes such as nasi dagang, Penang prawn mee, Singapore mee rebus, lontong, soto ayam etc. The restaurant is always crowded but the queue moves pretty fast, may need to share tables most of the time. There is always long queue BUT you will get to your turn in about 15-20mins. This is the ONLY one outlet here in Uptown, Petaling Jaya, they do not have any other branches. We heard that the food will be sold out very quickly sometime just after 2 pm hence we were very determined to check it out first thing in the morning! We reached there about 7 am and to our surprise, there were also ready quite a number patrons inside enjoying their food! Was it worth waking up early for? Definitely! 💯

It was Very crowded and hectic but the service was very good and prompt. Nasi lemak is actually Malaysia’s national dish, with rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf, and served with sambal, anchovies, cucumber. We ordered the signature nasi lemak ayam goreng (fried chicken) and the chicken rendang ones. We love the fried chicken, it was well cooked with crisp on the outer layer, and tender on the inside, not too dry out! Sambal was nice, on the sweeter side, and I would generally prefer a spicier version of sambal. They are usually crowded, worth a try while you’re in Kuala Lumpur! #foodie

I recently had the privilege of enjoying Nasi Lemak at Village Park Nasi Lemak. This is considered by many as the best Nasi Lemak in Selangor. It has constant queues throughout the whole day. I arrived at 11am on a Sunday and thankfully the queue move fast as service was fast too! Which I appreciate. I personally ordered the original Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng which was served with a juicy and huge chicken thigh with egg, anchovies, peanuts and a generous amount of sambal chilli. The rice was so fluffy and flavourful! It was RM12.60 excluding the Malaysian tax of 6%. Nice food and it was quite affordable! Do come and try. Tried out this highly raved nasi lemak at Village Park Restaurant. I am honestly not a huge fan of nasi lemak and I thought to myself “how good can a plate of nasi lemak be?”. Damn I was wrong, the chicken was so crispy yet succulent in the inside, the rice was fragrant and the sambal was the perfect mix of hot and sweet. 10 out of 10 for me.
