A journey through time in Laos | Romance on the banks of the Mekong River.
Find a colonial villa in Luang Prabang 🏡 This historic old house was once a private villa of the Lao royal family and is now a secret haven for tourists. The French colonial design and vintage furniture tell a story of elegance and history. ✨
📍 Great location: The hotel is in a great location! It's just a few minutes' walk to the night market and various historical sites, making it very convenient to explore every corner of Luang Prabang. I was lucky enough to catch the annual Lantern Festival (Boun Awk Phansa). The whole city was lit up with colorful lights, and the scene of lanterns being released by the river was so beautiful, romantic, and sacred. And it's easy to walk to these events from the hotel.
🚤 Mekong River Day Cruise: The hotel also arranged a Mekong River day cruise. In the evening, you can take a boat tour and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunset of Luang Prabang. It feels like time has slowed down, making it the perfect end to the day.
🌊 Pool: The hotel's pool is also a highlight. Lying by the pool surrounded by greenery, you are completely isolated from the hustle and bustle outside. Soaking in the pool every afternoon makes me feel healed.
🍸 Bar: Villa Maly's small bar is very atmospheric. In the evening, order a drink you like, sit under the dim lights, and look at the quiet surroundings. The comfort of the holiday is instantly enhanced!
If you want to find a quiet and relaxing place in Luang Prabang and don't want to miss out on the rich festival activities, Villa Maly is definitely a great choice.
