Little SIFA: The House between the winds exhibition
#springitinerary
So we visited this art exhibition on Empress Lawn where several quirky pieces were on display. These art pieces move over time and at first i thought they are science experiments. But then a friendly staff arrived and gave us a fan which has a qr code on it that contained information about the exhibit which is called the House between the winds, the colorful sailboat on display. It depicts a story of the same way our forefathers bartered and traded and as per the artist own words 'As a boat "sails" across the lawn, leading a procession of pilgrims, it becomes a metaphor for the passage of time—a vessel carrying memory and longing, to ponder upon how we can give back to nature. '. Truly deep and profound statement.

Day 2 Getaway: Discovering the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2025 at Victoria Theatre
#springitinerary
On Day 2 of exploring downtown Singapore, I stumbled upon the vibrant Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) 2025 unfolding in front of the historic Victoria Theatre.
With the theme More Than Ever, this year’s festival showcases a rich tapestry of performances, including local adaptations of classics like Animal Farm and King Lear, as well as innovative pieces like Umbilical, reflecting on Singapore’s separation from Malaysia .
The festival also features international acts such as HOME by Geoff Sobelle and Vampyr by Manuela Infante . The juxtaposition of contemporary art against the colonial-era architecture of Victoria Theatre creates a unique cultural experience. A must-visit for art enthusiasts and casual explorers alike!

Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall
#sgconcerts
A historic gem in the heart of Singapore, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is a must-visit for any traveler interested in classical music or theatre. The beautifully restored colonial-era architecture is stunning both inside and out. I attended a chamber orchestra performance, and the acoustics were incredible, creating a truly immersive experience. The central location near the Singapore River and iconic landmarks like the Asian Civilisations Museum makes it easy to explore before or after an event. Whether you’re catching a performance or just admiring the building’s exterior, it’s a cultural hotspot that shouldn’t be missed.
