Beautiful Italian-inspired canal in LA
Parking address-100 N Venice Boulevard, Venice, CA 90291
Venice Canals is a man-made canal built in 1905, with sidewalks & bridges for pedestrians.
The remaining canals in Venice (Sherman, Howland, Linnie, and Carroll) are a small subset of a much larger canal system that was created originally. Most of the old canals were filled in and paved over to create streets for driving and parking.
If you are around the area, do drop by to visit this urban canals. It's very pretty in the afternoon with sunset. You can easily stroll around the neighborhood.
After visiting Venice Canals, you can cross the road to reach Venice beach

[USA L.A] Romantic town with a 'boat' in every house, "Venice Canal"
Inspired by Venice, Italy,
The Venice Canal was completed in 1905♡
It is located near Santa Monica Beach,
and it takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to see the whole thing
It is a small canal town, but it has its own unique characteristics!
That is, almost every house has a kayak or yacht. Boats
From small one-person boats to pretty flamingo-shaped boats♡
These are boats used by actual residents
It is not a tourist attraction, so it is quiet and secluded, so it is good for a walk 😄
Because the weather is always warm or hot,
Most of the houses are wooden, so it is fun to look around
And because of the overall relaxed and leisurely atmosphere,
It was a place that made me think I want to live there at least once.

Venice Canals Los Angles🇲🇾

While visiting Los Angeles, I decided to explore the Venice Beach area and enjoy its unique beauty. Among the places I visited in this beautiful area were the Venice Canals or Venice Canals.
When I arrived at the Venice Canals, I felt like I had entered another world. Modeled after Venice, Italy, the area features a series of small canals surrounded by beautiful wooden houses and bridges. These channels have been renovated in recent decades to reflect the beauty and romance that Venice was originally famous for.
I started my tour by walking on several wooden bridges connecting the canals. The bridges gave me a great view of the surrounding landscape with colorful flowers and green plants planted on both sides of the canals.
She also noticed that there were small boats on both sides of the canals, and some locals were using them to move between their houses. This gave the place a magical and romantic atmosphere, and made me feel like I was in a romantic movie.
I highly recommend visiting the Venice Canals Los Angeles for anyone who wants to enjoy a unique and romantic experience. Small canals, wooden bridges and stunning views will ensure peace and relaxation, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of the metropolis.

Little bridges, flowing water, and family homes | Venice Canal Historic District in Los Angeles
Venice Canal Historic District in Los Angeles. The Venice Canal Historic District, built by developer Abbot Kinney in 1905, was part of his American Venice project, attempting to recreate the look and feel of Venice, Italy, along the coastal area of Los Angeles.
Upon entering the district, one can't help but admire the picturesque scene: little bridges, flowing water, family homes, docks, boats, and flowers, all intimately scaled, serene and beautiful, a haven from the world, inviting one to linger and forget to return.
The overall layout of the waterways and walkways is straightforward, but one can experience the charm of simplicity and tranquility.
Here, far from the bustling city, every household is by the water, with their own docks and canoes. It is said that during certain festivals, people will take to their boats and rafts, gathering on the canals.
Originally, the canals covered a larger area than what is seen today. However, with the popularity of automobiles in the area, many canals were filled in 1929 to make way for paved roads.
In 1982, the remaining canals and the surrounding residential area were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States.
In 1992, renovations were made; the canal water was drained, new sidewalks and walls were constructed, and water was allowed to enter the canals through the sea gates at the Marina Del Rey breakwater. The gates are opened at low tide to drain most of the water and closed at high tide, trapping the water for about three days before being refreshed again.
In 1993, the district was reopened and became one of the city's most desirable and expensive residential areas. In recent years, there has been extensive renovation of old houses and construction of many large modern homes,
When in Los Angeles, it is recommended to take a walk here. An hour is enough to give you a beautiful view (the cover photo of Figure 1 is our walking route at the time).

Amazing place with charisma, great atmosphere, unique character and pedestrian friendly infrastructure. Thanks to its bridges, this place has a romantic feel, and walks are unique in all seasons and weather. The reflections of the houses in the canals make the photos from this place almost unbelievable.
This is a living area. It's very quiet. Venice beach is public.
It is a California’s Venice canals inspiration. It is near Santa Monica. Or 25 mins drive (20 miles) from Los Angeles center.

Hidden gem of LA

Absolutely beautiful, an architectural dream and best kept secret. This was by far the most interesting activity that I did in LA. The narrow pathways, beautiful homes and lovely feeling. Make this a must do on your visit to LA. Free parking in Meredith Avenue, with convenient access to the canals.
Please be mindful that this really isn't a tourist trap. It's a residential neighborhood. So be respectful when wandering around people's homes.

European sensibility in LA
Right here, it's like Europe!
A place where you can feel Europe in LA
🚩Venice Canals
Even the name is Venice 🙂
It felt like I was in Italy,
There were pretty houses lined up along the canal, so it was so pretty
The feeling of the houses reflecting in the water on a clear day is nice,
and the pictures taken on the bridge are the best photos👍
There aren't many people, so it's a really good place to take pictures
