400km away from Perth City and this iconic valley of the giants is for your eyes to feast on. During autumn with perfect coloured leaves and perfect cool weather this iconic and world famous for giant red tingle trees welcomed me with its magnificence. We walked on the tree top walkway giggling with a contented calming hearts, and happy feet🤭🤪. The walkway sways a little every step you make and when you look down your heart leaps a second and back. It's really a very good experience to exercise your heart🤪. You can stand for a few moments on a platform at the highest peak to breathe in the amazing freshness of the forest and contemplate on your life🤭. 🇦🇺🌏 🦘 ✍🏾 📍Valley of the Giants Rd., Tingledale, WA || 4-5hrs from Perth City ✏️Tingle Trees have shallow roots. Compaction of soil around the trees can lead to their death. Please be careful not to step on them or climb. 📌📕2nd out of town trip this year is soooo awesommmmmeeee! I want to stay for sure but reality wouldn't let me so i'll just have to share a few snaps (from the hundreds i took) and hoping to get others to try and goooo "explore the world" and breaattthhheee! From my unwritten list of my "to travel places" Albany, West Australia is now 🔓. ✏️This Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is living to its name and is incredibly huugggeee! I am a bit scared to see the bottom because the walkway is moving (just a bit nothing to worry about🤣) but i still braved and took a loooooot of pictures (please check all other posts as sometimes sequence might not be up to how it should be). 💁‍♀️ According to valleyofthegiants website this treetop has been up there for about 25yrs now, cool!!! Still looks so new and more upgrades are on its way😎. -OPEN DAILY 900 to 1700hours 🌏What to see: 👁️ -Giant Red Tingle Trees (Eucalyptus Jacksonii) mostly found in this area only (worldwide) and usually 8-25 metres (26-148ft) with a circumference of up to 24 metres (79ft).The tallest is 52 m (171ft) tall. With over 400yrs of age a few of them are still standing💙. -Grandma Tingle (i have not seen this one as i think it is closed area where some upgrade is being done) -King Tingle that has not been burned inside of its base and towering straight and tall among its gnarled friends around. In every four years you will have the chance to see his crowning glory of white flowers.😍 -Birds of the Tingle: White-tailed black cockatoos, Western Rosellas, and Twenty-eight Parrots nest in the tree hallows ; White-breasted Robin, Golden Whistler, Wren 📒 Tree Top Walk is 600m loop reaching up to 400m above the grounds 📒 The Ancient Empire is 450m ground walk amongst the red tingles and partially accessible by wheelchairs 🚦Situated between Denmark and Walpole, this valley of the giants region is iconic and world famous! 400km from Perth City, WA. 📍 VALLEY OF THE GIANTS TREE TOP WALK (Tree Top Walk in the Valley of the Giants) 🚗 Located in the southwestern corner of Western Australia, just search for the name to find it. 🎫 Admission: AUD $21 per person This site features a walkway built atop the tree canopy, standing approximately 40 meters high and stretching about 600 meters in length. The path is wheelchair and stroller accessible, making it convenient for everyone! Although the treetop walkway is the highlight of this destination, I believe the real gem here is the unique local species—the "Red Tingle Tree." Walking above the canopy is indeed a unique experience. Looking down, you'll see 400-year-old trees beneath your feet. However, those with a fear of heights should be cautious! 🤣 After completing the treetop walk, make sure to explore the nearby circular trail, where you can wander among the majestic Red Tingle Trees and play hide-and-seek with the various tree hollows. 🌲 🔔 Fun Facts About the Red Tingle Tree This tree species is unique to Western Australia and only grows in a small humid forest area between Walpole and Denmark. Its most striking feature is its impressive tree hollows! 💡 Origins of the Tree Hollows The hollows are actually the result of a combination of biological and non-biological factors: 1️⃣ Fire as a Key Factor 🔥 Wildfires are a natural part of the ecosystem cycle. The Red Tingle Tree has extremely tough bark and natural fire-resistant oils, which help it withstand flames. However, repeated fires over the years can still hollow out the tree's base. 2️⃣ Fungal and Insect Erosion 🐛 After a fire, the charred areas often become a haven for fungi and insects. Decay fungi and wood-boring insects gradually erode the burnt wood, expanding the hollow areas and creating a three-dimensional "tree hollow system." This process can last for decades or even centuries. 3️⃣ Natural Wind Erosion and Humid Climate 🌬️ The Walpole region is humid with abundant rainfall during winter, keeping the base of the Red Tingle Tree moist and accelerating natural decay. Strong winds can also create cracks in the already weakened interior, further enlarging the hollows. 🌳 These trees are truly "living history." Some tree hollows have small doors installed, and these are from trees that have already died. They make for whimsical photo opportunities and are incredibly charming. Valley of the Giants is an awe striking place to visit the century old Eucalyptus trees. it is also famous for the Tree Top Walk where you walk on the bridge that's 40ft above ground. When you enter, tickets are needed for the Tree Top Walk but if you walk to the left and follow the "Ancient Empire" sign, it will lead you through the walking trail of the Giants. This is FREE! #australiatrip Very interesting to understand these magnificent Tingle trees. So much to see and enjoy. If you stop and be still it's amazing to just sense these trees. This is one tree not to hug because their shallow roots being walked on and under pressure kills them. Unique biodiversity conservation in small area of Australia. Not any where else in the country or the world

#australiatrip This was an amazing adventure, and I am so glad my brother discovered it whilst we were visiting Denmark. It was so much fun we actually went in twice since we bought tickets for the day, and you are allowed to enter the park again after you have exited. It was a great feeling to be able to stroll through the tree canopy, and the view is so beautiful from the tree tops. The is constructed in such a way that it actually sways a little when you walk on it, so that gives us a bit of a thrill as well. We were told to ensure that not too many people were at the walkway at any point in time. Aside from the view, it was terrific to feel the breeze and the sunshine at that elevated level. Once you have completed that part, there is also a huge portion of the park to explore. There are various paths you can follow to admire the giant tingle trees from ground level. The signage are well done, and we followed them easily enough. It was definitely a fun filled outdoor activity for everyone. It is easy to locate, and there is abundant parking space as well.

Walpole is located in the southwest of Australia, near Augusta, west of Albany. The most famous attractions here are the Valley of the Giants and Tree Top Walk, where you can climb high and look far, walking at the same height as the giants, overlooking this pristine forest. There are also other trails nearby where you can see hollow tree trunks. In fact, there are many such treetop walks in Australia, allowing visitors to enter the primeval forests while also taking care of the local ecology, which is really great! As for the ticket fee, it is charged per person, at 20 Australian dollars per person.

Western Australia is filled with natural gems. There's no end to the sights: coasts, forests, farms... Valley of the Giants is truly special though. The majesty of the tingle trees is unmatched.
