It is named after its location at the source of Beishi River. The park covers an area of ​​about 2,500 hectares and belongs to the experimental forest farm of the College of Agriculture of National Taiwan University. It is planted with precious tree species such as red cypress, ginkgo, and cypress, making it an ideal forest bathing spot.   There are many forest trails and hiking trails in the park, which shuttle through the woods.
