The truth is I only planned to visit because I bought the Osaka amazing pass so entry to Umeda Sky Building is free else the ticket cost 1500 yen for adult. Both exterior and interior of Umeda Sky Building looks sophisticated and futuristic. Is pretty amazing how spot clean and white it is. You took the life to 35th floor then change to escalator to bring you up to 39th floor where you can chill with coffee and beer. Rooftop garden is on open air offering 360 degree unblock view of whole Osaka. I came up around 4.30pm and waited for the sunset. Is incredibly beautiful. I had a drink at the lounge while waiting for the sky to turn dark for the night view. Definitely coming back if visiting Osaka. Tips : There is a food street at basement of the building, which served very good food at affordable price. to be continued..

Taking a ferris wheel at Umeda was so fun. I was expecting it to be like a normal ferris wheel which is pretty smooth and relaxing, but it was more of an adventure ferris wheel that was pretty fast and fun haha. But I could still look down the view of the beautiful city of Osaka and when I got to the rooftop, the view was even more stunning! The Osaka Amazing Pass costs 3300 JPY (about 30 SGD) for one day, and 5500 JPY for two days. My friend and I got the one-day pass for my short trip to Osaka last October. These are the attractions we used it on, and I’ve got to say it was really worth it! 1️⃣ Osaka Castle 🏰 This is the main highlight of Osaka, and going inside would help you understand a lot about Osaka’s history, especially on the era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. We wanted to take the boat (covered under the pass) going around the castle moat but unfortunately it rained. 2️⃣ Osaka Museum of History 📜 Right beside Osaka Castle is the history museum, and I would recommend coming here after visiting the castle. It is not very crowded and is a good place to relax. 3️⃣ Umeda Sky Building ☁️ We went up to the observation deck of the Umeda Sky Building, to see the skyline of Osaka. It was a great view and we spotted a few planes headed to or departed from Kansai Airport as well. The journey up and down had a very futuristic vibe to it. 4️⃣ Koji Kinutani Tenku Art Museum 🎭 This art museum is located downstairs of the Umeda Sky Building, in one of the tower blocks. This is definitely the unexpected highlight of the trip, as we saw many unconventional pieces of art there. There were many 3D visuals, showcasing the work of Koji Kinutani, a Japanese artist who studied in Italy and brought back an innovative and dynamic style. 5️⃣ Hep Five 🎡 Ended off the day at the Hep Five ferris wheel near Umeda station. Unfortunately it was raining so the views weren’t great. Overall, the pass was worth it, especially in saving on transport costs.
