Udon Thani City Museum, 26 exhibition rooms
#Visit the exhibition When Min travels to various provinces, the first place Min chooses to go is the Museum because she will be able to learn the stories very well.
The first time I came to Udon, I went to ⛪️ Udonthani City Museum.
It is a 2-story colonial building, a combination of classic architecture, brick and mortar, hip roof, arched windows, and a protruding porch in front of the arch. It is considered an old building in Udon Thani.
Min came to visit the museum to learn and study the history of Udon Thani Province. The knowledge in each exhibition room is very well done.
You will see 2 buildings mainly. When you come here, you must go to the first building that has a façade in a silk brocade pattern.
It is called the Udon Thani City Museum Service Center Building. It is a newly built building designed with 3 layers of walls.
- The innermost wall is a brick and wood structure.
- The second layer of the wall is a glass wall covering the entire building to control the air conditioning system.
- The third layer of the wall is a perforated steel wall covering the building. The perforated pattern is designed from silk brocade patterns.
Let me tell you that the design is very beautiful and when you register here, you will receive a key card to scan. In the museum building, there will be a video telling stories at various points. This yellow building is the origin of the Udon Thani Museum. In fact, before that, it used to be the Udon Thani Girls' School.
There are many details to tell. Please wait to watch on YouTube. But let me tell you briefly that this yellow building has 2 floors and 26 exhibition rooms. It will talk about geology, history, and the establishment of this place, including the history of #Luang Prajak Silpakom and the good things of Udon Thani, etc. I recommend that anyone who visits Udon should come at least once. Because in addition to seeing the museum, there is also a viewpoint at Nong Prajak in the back. There is a coffee shop and souvenirs from the museum.
Opening hours: Closed on Mondays and public holidays
