Udo Shrine is a shrine in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The old shrine is the official currency Taisha (the other table shrine of the current shrine main hall). In the first year of Yanli (782), Guangxifang, a monk of the Tiantai sect, was ordered to rebuild the shrine and build a temple at the same time. During the Meiji Restoration, the current name of the temple was abolished and it was renamed "Udo Shrine". In Meiji 7 (1874), it was renamed "Udo Shrine". Udo Shrine is located in the southern part of Miyazaki Prefecture. The main hall of the shrine is built in a cliff cave on the coast, which is very rare. Along the way, there are endless beautiful seascapes, and the scenery when the sun sets in the vast Pacific Ocean is even more moving. There is also a protruding rock on the coast facing the main hall, called "turtle stone".
