The Phnom Penh Prison Museum is located in the south of Phnom Penh City, at the intersection of 113th Street and 350th Street. Originally a high school, it was used as a concentration camp for prisoners during the Khmer Rouge period, also called S-21 Prison. More than 17,000 intellectuals, civilians, women and children were imprisoned here, and countless people were tortured to death every day. Until the Hengshanlin regime invaded Phnom Penh in 1979, there were only 14 corpses and 7 survivors left in this concentration camp. Now it is open to the public as a museum, displaying various torture instruments, photos and historical materials, which are creepy and silently tell the tragic history. In addition, documentaries are broadcast every day at 10 am and 3 pm. The film mainly tells the true story of a pair of young lovers who were forced to separate under the historical background at that time and suffered persecution by the Khmer Rouge.
