Private beaches are not allowed in Sanya, but they are in Lingshui. Capella is near Haitang Bay, with the same advantages as Sanya, but more private. About 45 mins from Sanya Phoenix Airport and the train station, and about 15 mins from Sanya International Duty Free City. The hotel is on the quiet Shifu Bay, with lush gardens and views of the South China Sea.

Lingshui is located between the two popular cities of Sanya and Wanning, with relatively fewer people and high-quality beaches, especially the sandy beach at Qingshui Bay, which is super fine! The temperature in Lingshui is rising now, with the daytime perceived temperature reaching thirty degrees, so going into the sea for a swim is no problem! However, it's still a bit chilly in the early morning and evening due to the wind, so I suggest bringing a light jacket. The weather is mainly sunny, with occasional showers. Safety first when going into the sea; make sure to swim in areas with lifeguards and be cautious of rip currents. If you're bringing kids to Hainan, don't miss out on Lingshui, as many attractions are suitable for children to play. Although it's not as crowded as during the Spring Festival, there are still quite a few tourists in Hainan! If you want to visit, it's better to book your hotel and flights in advance. It's not off-season yet, so prices won't be very cheap. If you're on a tight budget, you might want to wait a bit longer before coming! Coming to Lingshui in the summer will be much cheaper! The UV rays in Lingshui are strong, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun. It's best to use both physical and chemical sunscreens. Lingshui doesn't have a subway system, so if you're staying for a while, I recommend driving yourself; riding an electric scooter is also a good option, as there are many little blue electric scooters here, and you won't get stuck in traffic! I don't recommend black cars or motorcycles! For taxis, it's better to use a platform service, as the prices are open and transparent! For hotel accommodations, it's up to your budget, but pay attention to the reviews, not just the pictures! Lingshui doesn't have an airport. You can fly to Sanya first and then take a high-speed train to Lingshui Station; or fly to Haikou, which might be a bit cheaper, and then take a high-speed train to Lingshui Station as well. You must visit Fenjiezhou Island, the jellyfish sea is super beautiful!!! I really like it, and kids can even feed the stingrays! But you should get to the island early, as it gets crowded and you might have to queue! I suggest setting aside a whole day for it! Nanwan Monkey Island is mainly about watching monkeys. I recommend taking the cable car to the island for a bird's-eye view of the entire Danjia fish raft, which is super beautiful!! The Danjia fish raft is a bit expensive, to be honest. You can take a fishing boat to certain areas to catch sea stars and sea urchins (80 RMB/person), but children can't participate, as others will help catch them, so the experience might be less engaging. With kids, it's worth visiting the R&F Ocean Happy World, which has many attractions, and you can see a lot of fish and eat seafood at the Xincun Central Market, which is fresh and cheap.
