Today, we will take everyone on a journey by a 2nd class air-conditioned diesel railcar, or what we know as the Sprinter, from Chiang Mai to Uttaradit. This train is the 8th train that leaves Chiang Mai and ends in Bangkok. But we only go to Uttaradit. It leaves Chiang Mai at 8:50 a.m. and arrives in Uttaradit at 1:50 p.m. The journey takes about 5 hours. The fare is 150 baht. When you get on the train, there are 2 seats on each side, similar to a tour bus. There is air conditioning and a receptionist. The entire route from Chiang Mai to Uttaradit is very beautiful.
