This is where the pure water flows into the sacred pond inside Hikawa Shrine. It is dimly lit, but as you get closer, you can feel a sacred atmosphere. The grounds of Hikawa Shrine are very large, and there are many other small shrines. In addition, the greenery of the trees is pleasant in summer, but in spring, the neighboring Omiya Park is also recommended as many cherry blossoms bloom in bloom, making it a great place to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. It is usually called Omiya Hikawa Shrine. It is a great place for a walk together with the adjacent Omiya Park. It takes 5 to 6 minutes from Omiya Station to reach the approach to the shrine. Once you pass through the long approach to the shrine, you will be greeted by the Sakuramon Gate, which will make you think you are in Kyoto. You will see a view that is "the Japanese way". Behind the main shrine is Omiya Park, which is quiet and peaceful. It is a nice walking course that takes 2 to 3 hours to walk along the waterway to Toro Station, so I recommend it!
