Wulin Qingpu, living in a culture and time
I first learned about the Qingpu Cultural Hostel brand many years ago at the Nanjing Tulou. Many years later, it seems that I have also seen it in Yangzhou and Wuzhou. This time in the Wulin ancient village of Jinjiang, Quanzhou, I finally had the opportunity to experience this always low-key yet high-end cultural accommodation space.
If it's just for the sake of accommodation, personally, I don't think the price of over 2000 for Qingpu is worth it. However, as mentioned earlier, it is not just a hotel or a homestay, but a cultural space centered around accommodation. For example, the Qingpu I stayed in at Wulin is first and foremost a renovation and design of the old houses of the Wulin ancient village, creating a comfortable space inside while maintaining the original appearance as much as possible. Its front desk, restaurant, and guest rooms are scattered among these ancient village houses. This allows you to switch between different spaces while deeply experiencing the local culture and memories. Secondly, apart from hotel accommodation, there are cultural activities for different age groups, such as the silver beating in Wulin this time, and other activities that we didn't have time to experience.
Returning to the hardware aspect of Qingpu, it can basically be said to be impeccable. However, based on our experience this time, the software aspect may indeed need more thought. For example, the dining environment of the restaurant we ate in is truly impeccable in design, but whether it's the water stains on the washbasin or the stacking of some miscellaneous items, it made the high-end feel of the 2000+ price instantly drop to just a tail number. And the place where the trash can was placed in our room had various stains and spots on the wall, which really reached a level that could make people uncomfortable. As for the service experience this time, the young man who took us to our room was really not up to par in terms of smiling service.
Overall, this was not a perfect experience, but for this brand, I would rather believe it is an exception. In other cities, if I have the chance, I think I would like to experience it again.

Living in a 600-year-old ancient village, checking in the ancient village where Zhao Liying has filmed
Qingpu Cultural Travel Museum is located in the center of Wulin traditional village. This is an ancient village built in the early Ming Dynasty with a history of over 600 years. Backed by Shigu Mountain and facing Wuanxi, the ancient houses and western-style buildings compete for glory, and the history of architecture and ethnic groups are intertwined, like a primitive village-style folk museum.
Design
The homestay is built from 12 buildings, including Qicuo, Wenfu Cuo, Dedou House, Qianlong Cuo, and then take the old Cuo, Huaihe old Cuo is a hundred-year-old Minnan traditional red brick mansion, elegant and bright swallowtail ridge. The "four waters return to the hall" courtyard, the Mingtang dark room and other features full of residential wisdom are preserved, in order to adapt to the standards of modern people for their homes. The designer has rebuilt the interior of the mansion, organically combining regional architectural culture with modern design, implanting modern living equipment, retaining traditional material textures, and the red brick old wall has also been extended to the interior on a large scale, perfectly balancing the relationship between man-made and nature.
Guest Room
The guest rooms are located in 6 Minnan red brick ancient houses and 2 returned overseas Chinese Nanyang style western-style buildings, using Minnan and Nanyang styles, and selected natural oak furniture. With a steady and natural material that allows people to relax, each room has an independent tea room and bathroom space, and the courtyard room is also equipped with a central hall public tea space leisure area, which can also be customized as a Chinese and Western banquet space to meet different needs of guests.
Food
When you come to Minnan, you naturally have to eat Minnan flavors. It is most appropriate to have a meal of authentic flavors here. First serve the Nine Dragons Platter - frozen earth bamboo shoots, octopus, mango soy sauce, five-spice rolls, fried vegetable balls, jellyfish heads, onion sugar rolls, sand worms and braised pomfret, each of which is a fresh taste that can only be eaten locally. This mouthful of vivid Minnan flavor was once the nostalgia of overseas Chinese who went to Nanyang.
Facilities
Rich entertainment facilities: The homestay is equipped with various entertainment facilities, such as billiard room, karaoke today, outdoor swimming. And a variety of entertainment activities.
Experience
Since it is called a cultural travel museum, there is no lack of cultural handicraft classes. I invited the non-legacy inheritor grandfather to teach the guests woodcut printmaking. The printed prints can be taken home. The world is too small. After posting a circle of friends, the customer told me that her friend and I were carving prints on the same table that day.
