🇮🇹 Rome Night Tour Guide and Route 🎑 Romantic and Great for Photos On our first night in Rome, After dinner 🍝🍕🍷 we started our romantic night tour of Rome 🗺️ Route P2: Trevi Fountain ⛲️ (Wishing Pool) ➡️ Sant'Ignazio Church ➡️ Pantheon ➡️ Piazza Venezia ➡️ Roman Forum ➡️ Colosseum (P3) We arrived at the Trevi Fountain around 10pm. Although it was lively, we could stand in the middle or find a spot on the side to take photos. There weren't as many people as we imagined! (P4&5) After making a wish and taking photos, we headed to the church, and then we found an empty Sant'Ignazio Church. When we arrived at the door and saw no one, we thought it was closed. It took us a while to dare to go in! The dome painting of Sant'Ignazio Church is really stunning and beautiful. There is a mirror in the center of the church where you can take photos with the dome! (P6) When we arrived at the Pantheon, there seemed to be a performance inside? We just looked around outside and sat in the square for a while! (P8) There were also few people on the way to Piazza Venezia. Piazza Venezia and the surrounding roads looked as spectacular as in "Roman Holiday"! From Piazza Venezia, you can see the rainbow-colored Colosseum in the distance. Walking in that direction, you will find almost all the roadsides are ancient ruins and memorial halls. Because of this, Rome feels different from other European cities. (P9-11) The Colosseum at night also has an indescribable grandeur and majesty. Walking along the Colosseum, my memory of Rome became even more profound. "Greatness belongs to Rome" 🫡 The night tour of Rome made my entire trip to Rome come alive. Experience a different world heritage site, a different "Eternal City" 🌆 🔔 It took about two hours to walk around 🔔 ⚠️ We didn't encounter many people along the way, mostly tourists. ⚠️ But everyone should still pay attention to safety when going out at night ❕

#rometrip Getting There - The Trevi Fountain is fountain in the Trevi district of Rome designed by an Italian architect back in the 17th - 18th century. It was designed by Nicola Salvi but different architects completed it. Getting to it is easy, you simply have to go to the Quirinale district in Rome, very close to the main station of Roma Termini. Attractions - I can say that you cannot complete or saying to have made your trip to Rome without visiting this baroque masterpiece. There are many attractions near by such as Carrabba Marble. Hotels - Hotel Fontana named by the fountain is cheap option however, if you are looking for more luxury experience you may want to option for Umiltà 36 or Singer Palace. Food & Restaurants - Breakfast at hotel Fontana is really cool, for 15 euro you can really get a good breakfast while watching the fountain. Piccolo buco is well know for pizza near the fountain and trattoria Al Moro for local food. Shopping - Trevi Galleria, La Rinascente and many botteghino. I am sure many of you would have remember the disappointment some tourists had when it was closed for renovations back in 2014 and 2015. Went to St. Peter’s Basilica one of the churches many tourists flock to as part of the Rome experience. Understandably, they are must-see venues of the city. I was in awe walking through the halls. There was beauty at every corner. The ceilings displayed intricate religious paintings. Then we visited the Colosseum (a must visit place when you're in Rome) and also Trevi Fountain. The fountain is so beautiful with a number of sculptures and the ornate building face. This place is so packed with people and tourists but it is absolutely worth the visiting. Stand with your back to it and throw a coin over your left side into the fountain, to come back again. At night, the fountain is even more spectacular. Rome generally looks different by night, so it is nice to walk around the historical centre in the evening. Piazza Navona and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi - Not far from Trevi Fountain is Piazza Navona, a famous baroque square dominated by Bernini’s Fiumi Fountain (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi). There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around this area which are overpriced and basically a tourist trap. We had a dinner with a view here but my pasta was too aldente and we really paid the price for the view, rather than for the food. If you wish to avoid the crowds I would suggest arriving at the Trevi Fountain between 7 am and 8 am.
