[Halong Bay on land] Trang An
You can take a day trip from Hanoi to Trang An, but I stayed there for two nights and enjoyed sightseeing.
You can see the spectacular views from the morning, and you can enjoy sightseeing before it gets crowded with day trippers♪
I took a boat to Trang An and Tam Coc, but in Tam Coc, the pushy boats and tip requests were annoying.
In Trang An, I saw boats removing algae and fallen leaves to maintain the scenery. Thanks to that, the water was clean, but not so much in Tam Coc...
If you don't have much time, I think you can just do Trang An.
You can choose from three courses in Trang An.
The number of caves and temples you visit varies depending on the course, and the time varies, but the price is the same!
I took the shortest course, but it still felt long lol
Be careful when sitting on the boat, as the sun is strong and your butt will hurt.
I brought a wide-brimmed hat and a parasol, which came in handy!
If you're in Vietnam, you should also visit Hoa Lu!
It is an ancient capital of Vietnam's first dynasty.
It seems to be a school route for children from the local school, so it feels like a local park lol
When you go there by bicycle, a nearby shop will stop you and tell you that it is free parking.
Of course, it is not official, but they do it so that returning tourists can buy something to eat or drink.
You will not be charged for parking your bicycle.
If you have the stamina, I also recommend Moore Cave!
A magnificent view at the end of a long, long staircase! I went in the evening, so I was able to see a very beautiful view.
I went there in a mini dress and platform sandals, but the footing was very bad at the top and I felt my life was in danger, so I recommend that everyone do not do it lol
I tried to go to the cave because it is called Moore "Cave", but other tourists who returned told me that it was forbidden, so I turned back halfway.
Also, if you don't mind it, please try the goat dishes that are said to be a specialty!
I liked the dish where you eat the burnt rice in goat soup!
Trang An is recommended for those who are in Hanoi for the second time and wondering where to go.
There are many hotels that you can rent out as a whole building under the name of "homestay".
Waking up to a spectacular view in the morning was a truly wonderful stay.
Please try staying in Trang An!
