[2025 Toyako Stay] Travel Guide for Toya Kohan Tei (Updated May)

[Hokkaido Lake Toya] The drive from Sapporo to Hakodate is about 4 hours, so it’s best to find a stopover☺️ Noboribetsu and Lake Toya are both in the middle. I’ve been to both places and I really like them💕 But since I’ve tried Noboribetsu Onsen last time, and I know that Lake Toya has a summer fireworks festival, I decided to stay and eat at Lake Toya this time😍 The most famous hotel in Lake Toya is of course the Nonokaze, but it was almost fully booked when I went there (except for the extremely expensive rooms 😢). Finally, I chose "Superb View Hot Spring Hotel - Toyakohan-tei" which has good ratings, is also facing Lake Toya, includes a free Sapporo shuttle bus, and has a good value for money 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Advantages: 1) There is a free Sapporo shuttle bus, which saves the fare for this section of the journey, and the bus stops at Nakayama Pass, where we unexpectedly saw snow! ! ! ☃️☃️☃️ 2) Hotel staff speak good English, are professional and polite🌈 3) The hotel has a bingo draw every night, which creates a great atmosphere and is a unique activity at Lakeside Pavilion! ⭐️ (Actually, many people won the prizes, and the prizes are so rich!!) 4) The open-air bath faces Lake Toya and Mt. Yotei, with a great view😍 5) The fireworks festival venue is across from the hotel🎇 6) Dinner is all you can eat Genghis Khan mutton. After soaking in the hot spring, you can also buy White Lover ice cream at the hotel souvenir shop! 🍧 7) There is a bus stop in front of the hotel to Toya JR Station Disadvantages: 1) There are too many tour groups. Luckily we went to the hot springs before the fireworks festival so there weren't too many people 🤔 2) Breakfast and dinner are only buffet options, the food quality is average and there are few choices PS.
