I went to a restaurant called "Toriwarou" in Kyoto! 📍75 Itsujicho, Itsuji-dori Chiekoin Nishiiru, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture I took a bus from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto! I was able to eat after waiting in line for about 30 minutes around lunchtime! They only serve oyakodon at lunchtime! I took off my shoes and walked through a Japanese-style corridor to the second floor! It was a very relaxing space with a tatami room! When the oyakodon came out, it looked so delicious when I opened the lid! It was fluffy and delicious, and I was sad to see it run out! There were foreign customers as well, and it was a very popular restaurant! #FuriTabiWinter

August 9, 2024 My thoughts after eating at Kyoto Torigawa. We arrived at Niaoyanlou before 12 noon. There were not many people there and we waited for about 25 minutes before we could go in for dinner. After 12 o'clock, there were a lot of people waiting in line, and most of them were local Japanese people that day. Entering the dining area, you will pass by a Japanese garden. The building of Toriiwa has a history of 100 years, and the restaurant's decoration perfectly presents the century-old style. The staff in the store were very friendly and took the initiative to provide stools for the elderly. As soon as the food was served, the aroma hit us. The egg paste wrapped every grain of rice and the old man enjoyed the meal very much.
