Huangdu Dong Cultural Village is located in Huangdu Village, Pingtan Township, Tongdao County, composed of Touzhai, Weizhai, Panzhai, and Xinzhai. Here you can find the original, antique, and colorful Dong ethnic folk culture, which is a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot. The profound Dong ethnic traditional culture mainly includes characteristic flavor foods, colorful Dong ethnic costumes, brightly colored ethnic embroidery, a wide variety of ethnic arts, and colorful ethnic festivals. The Dong ethnic flavor foods have many varieties and are quite characteristic, mainly including oil tea, bitter wine, Dongba, and the Dong people have a saying that they do not eat sour for three days and fall down when walking. The Dong family pickles sour vegetables in all four seasons. The Dong people's clothing is colorful, and most of the fabrics are self-grown cotton, self-spun, self-woven, and self-dyed Dong clothes. Fine clothes and Dong satin are only used as formal wear and accessories. Ethnic embroidery is most famous for Dong cotton. Almost every Dong girl can weave cotton.
