Northern food that is so delicious you have to order a full table.

Tong Tem Toh – This famous Lanna-style restaurant in Chiang Mai is famous for its diverse menus. Served in small plates, each dish costs less than a hundred baht, so you can order until your table is full, just like the name of the restaurant. When you visit Chiang Mai, let’s try our skills at the original branch in Soi Nimmanhaemin 13.
➡️ Poo Ong
This is a northern Thai dish made from grilled crab fat mixed with eggs, salt, and various seasonings. The recipe here makes it taste very delicate. The soft and smooth Poo Ong is bright yellow and has a fragrant crab fat aroma. It is not dark and has no fishy smell. Mix it with rice or sticky rice and it is very delicious.
➡️ Roasted Pork Larb
This is a northern-style larb with a mild spicy taste and is hot from the makhwaen. The aroma of the spices is distinct and not sour like Isaan larb. It is also sprinkled with dried chilies and fried garlic for extra aroma. It is also served with crispy, fat-free pork rinds. It goes very well together. The pork is not too fatty. Another menu that I really like.
➡️ Nam Prik Ong
This dish is made to standard standards. The taste is rich and well-rounded. Served with boiled vegetables, I recommend ordering some crispy pork rinds to eat with it. It goes together even better.
➡️ Fatty Pork Rinds
Ordinary pork rinds but theirs are really amazing. Freshly fried, crispy and fluffy, no hard parts to bother you when chewing. Enjoy eating it so much that you can't stop.
➡️ Fried Pork Sausage
This is normal. Order it as a snack.
➡️ Hang Le Curry
Soft and tender pork, fragrant curry paste, rich texture, not too oily curry paste, plus sliced ginger to cut the richness. Delicious.
➡️ Gaeng Khae Kai
This menu is hard to find, and finding something delicious and satisfying is even harder. When I found this place, I loved it. The curry paste flavor is perfect, the richness is just right. It passed with flying colors.
Overall, this restaurant is really good, living up to its reputation. Whenever you visit Chiang Mai, you have to try it.
