🎐Kawagoe Ancient Street One-Day Tour Review・Little Edo Tour ✨
📍Kawagoe | Also known as: Little Edo Edo Style Old Street
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommendation Index: 5/5
Convenient transportation, about an hour from Tokyo, directly feel the strong nostalgic Japanese atmosphere ~💓
👘 Trip Highlight: Wearing a kimono to roam the ancient streets is super feeling!
We went to the kimono rental experience as soon as we arrived in the morning (many shops to choose from, we chose a close to the "clock of time" clock tower), the staff was very friendly, helping us dress beautifully and comfortably! 🌸 After wearing the kimono, walk into the ancient street, the whole street is wooden buildings, like traveling to the Edo period, very atmospheric🎎📷.
📸 Must-see photo spot:
• ⏰Toki no Kane: Kawagoe’s most iconic landmark! The sound of the bell is super flavorful
• 🛤️ Kurazukuri Street: Traditional black tile house is super good for photography
• 🛍️ Confectionery Yokocho: Full of nostalgic candy shop, bought a lot of nostalgic snacks ~ 🍭
• 🪭 There are also many specialty shops selling ceramics, souvenirs, and traditional groceries
🍠 Food Recommendations:
Kawagoe’s famous sweet potatoes 🍠! We ate sweet potato ice cream + sweet potato cake, so sweet ~
Also tried the following:
• 🥢 Eel Rice: Super authentic, charcoal flavor, grilled to order, worth a try
• 🧋 Matcha Fern Cake Drink: Smooth and tender, super thirst-quenching
• 🍘 Soy Sauce Senbei: The instant grilled senbei is very crispy and very Edo flavor
🅿️ Parking Information:
We drove there and parked in the Times parking lot near the Clock of Hours
🎑 Overall impression:
Kawagoe has more charm than I expected, full of history but not too crowded ~
Especially recommended for couples 👫 or girlfriends 👭, wearing a kimono to take pictures really have a strong feel, take pictures can not stop 📸
Many delicate handicrafts, snacks are very characteristic, leave some time to walk slowly will enjoy ~💗
