Tioman Island is one of Malaysia's best-kept secrets. With its powdery white sand, crystal-clear waters, and authentic villages, tourists will have the experience of a lifetime when they book into a resort in Tioman. Admittedly, not a lot of tourists outside of Malaysia know of the island.

Finally get a chance to visit Pulau Tioman after 3 years of pandemic with my family. We had so much fun activities there such as snorkelling, swimming riding atv and climbing mountain.
We booked our personal boat for snorkelling and island hopping. My family got really lucky as they saw sharks at the last stop of islands. You can bought some breads for fish feeding during snorkelling.
Surprisingly, they sold egg bubble waffle and milk tea in the island too and the stall was easy to spot. You can continued swim in the swimming pool of the resort which is just outside of your room.
Overall it was a memorable trip in 2022 and I had already planned to visit again in 2023 with my friends.
My 2023 travel wish is Tokyo, Japan.

Heaven’s In Malaysia
In my opinion, if you like long wide beaches fringed with coconut palm trees, with fine wire sand and aquamarine water, the closest you can get in Tioman is Juara beach. But you just cannot stay there. The Sandflies will eat you. Salang beach also has fine white sand, coconut trees and the most azure water in the island, but to many broken corals in the sand, too overbuilt and it has Sandflies and also little bugs in the water that bite you (but don't leave itchy bites like the Sandflies). The beach at Berjaya has yellowish coarse sand, but it is long, fringed with palm trees and probably less sand flies. Ayer Batang is a small beach with fine white sand and Sandflies, and lots of bugs in the water. I did not descend upon the Tunamaya beach, but there is no way I would pay their prices to be isolated at a very small beach that is over built, no matter how impressive their very marketed view of the twin peaks is from the island.
The food overall is quite great, but avoid eating at the resorts. You will save money and enjoy better food if you eat at the local places located everywhere. Have a good trip and do patronise the local restaurant within a walking distance from the entrance to Berjaya, if you're going there. #tioman #island #pahang #berjaya #malaysia #heavensgate

Tioman Island we got absolutely by chance, without looking for any information in advance. We just traveled around Asia for a few months and then it was Malaysia's turn. Arriving in Kuala Lumpur and staying there for a couple of days, we looked at the map and for some reason decided to go to Tioman Island, which was a great decision!
Tioman Island is one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world, and fortunately, it is not spoiled by crowds of tourists. There are very few locals here, and tourists can be counted on the fingers. There are no nightclubs and wild parties here, as on many Asian islands, but there is stunning nature - mountains covered with tropical forests, azure water and rich fauna on land and in water.

Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. My most recent holiday is Tioman Island is a good places to go for scuba diving and snorkering.
As soon as I reached there after a long journey, I was stunned by the beatiful scenic views that I only saw pictures. I stayed in a hotel booking via trip.com right in front of the beach.
We do have a package tour for our scuba diving and snorkering trip. We swam all day and return our hotel. We did so many activities which included swimming, scuba diving, boat trip etc.
It was the most amazing and spectaculat experience of my life, the holiday was a perfect!

another way to celebrate ur festival holiday!
so my family and i made a plan to celebrate eid adha differently this year by going to tioman. for those who do not know how to get here, you can take ferry from Jeti Mersing, Johor. the ferry approximately take 2 hours to get you there. this island has local sellers where you can buy food and souvenirs. they also have many water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling and island hopping. we did try for waterfall hiking. It is a bit tiring I would say but the view is worth the effort. They have many chalets or resorts depending on your budget. But me being the city girl I cannot stay in island for more than 3 days 😅

Tioman Juara Beach
This relatively large tropical island is located off the east coast of the Malaysian state of Pahang. Whilst this densely forested, sparsely populated island also comes complete with several lovely beaches – helping it to earn the title of one of the world’s most beautiful islands according to TIME Magazine in the 1970’s – one beach stands out amongst the rest – Juara.
Yes, the incredible Juara Beach is a true jewel in the crown of Malaysia’s best beaches, helped by its relatively remote location – ferries do not land at the beach, it is only reachable via 4WD on a paved road that cuts through Tioman’s central mountain range.
Whilst the beach is unreal, it’s also known for the conservation of sea turtles, with the Juara Turtle Project managing a hatchery here.

Crystal Waters, Tioman, Malaysia
Been here over ten times and it is definitely a place to visit when it's not Monsoon season.
Catch a bus from Malaysia to Mersing, and then a ferry to Tioman. Tioman has many sections that you can opt to stay on the island.
Jungle trekking is an experience !. Many diving shops yo clock your dives or even take up your open water certs.
Once, I did a trip during monsoon. There wasn't many visitors and most locals went home to city. Although we knew ferries hardly operate during monsoon, we gave it a shot. We were stuck on the island for a week BUT NO REGRETS.
It was beautiful.
Quiet days and nights with few shops opened. The locals are friendly and accommodating
We played beach volley ball with the and had bon fires almost every night!
No light pollution by the sea at night, great for stargazing

Relaxing island to choose - Tioman
Beautiful Island, Time to relax during May to September are the summer months and the best time to visit Tioman Island. The average temperature is around 30℃.
The weather is pleasant and the skies are bright and clear.
Sea is calm during this time for water sports.
Pulau Tioman is more than a place where you can melt your stress away. Sure, there would be plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel, or dive. However, you can also hike, climb, ride an ATV, enjoy water activities, or soak in the local culture.#island
