A famous cafe in Tak Province with delicious croissants.
#CafeReview
Tiengna Coffee and Bakery Farm - A famous cafe in Tak Province that recently opened a branch in Bangkok called Tiengna Viennoiserie, causing cafe hoppers to queue up to try the croissants. This time, we had the chance to visit the original branch in Tak. The shop is located on the west side of Phahonyothin Road. There is parking inside the shop. The atmosphere of the shop is shady with various trees. It is beautiful and worth a visit.
✅ Food ordered ✅
🍟[Snacks]
French Fries - Fried hot and crispy, very enjoyable to eat.
🍝 [Pasta]
➡️ Spaghetti with garlic, bacon
➡️ Spaghetti Carbonara
➡️ Spaghetti Bolognese Pork
➡️ Salmon Penne Pesto Sauce
Overall, the pasta is average and edible. The noodles are cooked to be chewy in every dish. The taste is simple and Thai style. It is considered okay. The Bolognese sauce was a bit too sour and seemed to lack some of the flavor of the ingredients. The carbonara was a creamy sauce that wasn't too cheesy. The pesto sauce had a rather mild flavor and the grilled salmon was a bit dry. The dish that I felt was the best was the spaghetti with garlic and bacon topped with a soft-boiled egg.
🍛 [Rice]
➡️ Khao Pad Theing Na (Fried rice with bacon and Chinese sausage)
➡️ Crispy pork stir-fried with chili, garlic and soft-boiled egg
➡️ Curry rice with fried pork and thick egg
In terms of rice dishes, the overall taste was clearly more delicious than pasta dishes. The most impressive dish was the crispy pork stir-fried with chili, garlic and soft-boiled egg. The texture of the crispy pork was very good, crispy but not tough, and the salty and spicy flavor was just right.
🥐🍰 [Cake and Bakery]
This shop is famous for its bakery and desserts, especially the croissants that have been popular for a long time. We ordered the following to try:
➡️ Croissant pur Beurre
I've tried the croissants here for take-away and they were deliciously buttery. But if you order them to eat at the restaurant, they'll serve them fresh out of the oven, which is a hundred times better. The croissants here are soft and smooth, with a crispy outer skin but thin, making them hard to cut open so that the holes don't look nice. But the taste and texture are great, they're fluffy, light, and smooth, not too soggy. They're full of French butter, so much so that you have to order more.
➡️ Forêt Noire (Chocolate Biscuit Génoise / Vanilla Chantilly Mascarpone Cream / Amarena Cherry / Dark Chocolate)
This is an original Black Forest cake recipe that's very well made (if you add liquor, it'll be perfect). The cake is soft and moist, with a smooth, light cream layer. The taste of the chocolate cake is perfectly balanced by the sweet and sour taste of the cherry.
➡️ Fudgy Chocolate Cake (Chocolate Sponge / Soft Chocolate Fudge)
Soft chocolate cake with chocolate fudge on top that is rich, soft and chewy, perfect for a chocolate lover like me.
➡️ Blueberry Cheese Pie (Graham Cracker / Rare Cream Cheese / Blueberry Sauce)
This one is also well-made. The base of the pie crust is crispy and fragrant with butter, rich cheese, and topped with a lot of blueberry sauce. It's really good.
☕️[Drinks]
The coffee here is quite fragrant, but the taste is not very smooth and has a bit of sourness. Personally, I feel that if I order black coffee, it will be a bit harsh on the throat. But if I order coffee with milk, like cafe Latte, it will be more perfect.
Overall, this shop's bakery and pastries are really great, living up to their reputation. The taste is clearly more prominent than the savory dishes. It's convenient to stop by in Tak or go to Tiengna Viennoiserie in Bangkok.
