Rafting
The Tianmu River is a tributary of the Fuchun River. Drifting along Tianmu River on a bamboo raft or rubber boat is a popular activity. Most of the tourist boats that go drifting on the Tianmu River do so at the section between Yaolin Bridge and Lengkang. Rafters are given paddles with which to propel their boats or to splash other boats. While drifting along the river, visitors who have worked up an appetite are invited to indulge in some local bamboo rice, sold along the shore. It can be eaten right on the boat. There is also a wonderful cormorant fishing show, when the aquatic birds are there for the season. River rafting can be enjoyed throughout the year. In the wintertime, Tianmu River rafting gives visitors the chance to experience the warmth of a bamboo stove in a rural farmhouse and indulge in hot barbecue while drifting along the water. It is an entirely different kind of experience from season to season.
